Today I thought I would show you our dining room. I have a love for Country French decor and that was the look that I hope to have achieved in here. There were a few changes in here, added the woven shades for texture and layering, and of course painted some of the furniture. My next project or should I say "OUR" next (need the hubby's help on this one) is to paint below the chair rail white and add picture molding.
My mom bought this painting for me from a friends gallery.
One of the pieces that I painted. The color is kennebunckport green by Ben. Moore.
Looking in from the kitchen. The corner cabinet was painted by me also in the same color as the smaller one.
Now I need your help, I was thinking of painting the french doors either black or brown what do you think? Looking forward to hearing from you. I always love to read your comments. Have a great week!

Hi Martina! Your home was always one of my favorites on RMS....you just have great taste and put it all together beautifully! Thanks for joining my newbie party.XO
Very pretty, I think the picture molding below the chairrail will look awesome...can't wait to see it!
Beautiful room. Love the wall color and the drapes. The woven blinds are a great addition. Your painted pieces are gorgeous, love the color. Of course the cloche caught my eye. Beautiful. Don't forget we're having a Spring Cloche Party on the 11th of March. Check out my blog for the button. Hugs, Marty
Thank you for sharing, everything is just gorgeous and inviting. I believe I saw an Evesham Vale platter in your china cabinet. I have a service for 8 in the green rim. Your roosters and white platter are so pretty! Emelia.
Martina, I have always loved your dining room. Love the warmth of it and all your furniture pieces. BTW, just to help out because I appreciate when people let me know of a boo boo on my blog post, dining has one n.
Your dining room is really lovely, warm and inviting.
I so love Country French too - and you did it all to perfection! Love the white dishes, green painted pieces and layers on the windows!
Your dining room is so pretty. How fortunate you are to have a "real" painting. I'd leave your French doors white, they look so fresh.
Your dining room is beautiful. I love the painted pieces mixed in with the wood, it keeps it interesting. I love those drapes and the blinds are an excellent choice. Painting under the chair railing will change the whole look of the room, it will be beautiful. If I were you, I would wait until I have painted the white in there before I made a decision about painting the doors. I think they look beautiful painted white, though.
Hugs, Cindy
Hi Martina! Oh, what a lovely dining room you have! You have such pretty furniture! Thank you so much for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Love your dinging room. I can't wait to see the picture mouldings. Everything is so beautiful!

What a gorgeous room. You did a fantastic job on painting those 2 pieces of furniture and I love your roosters on top of the cabinet. I think the doors look great white, but if you paint them, maybe you could leave the architraves white and just paint the doors darker. You have lovely style!
Your dining room is lovely! I've just found your blog through Wow Us Wednesday. I've become a follower and would love for you to visit and follow me if you choose!
Blessings!
Kathy
Your dining room is just lovely! The painted pieces are very pretty.
Since your crown molding & chair rail are white, I would leave the doors white. It all looks great that color.
Oh what a gorgeous home you have!
I love your french dining room and the beautiful pieces you have painted!
Cindy
Very pretty! LOve the curtains and painting!
Love the colors! Beautiful room you've put together!
The room looks pretty. Don't paint the french doors a dark color, it won't look right! If you have black doors, what does it relate to? It will become the focal point of the room because they will be overpowering to the eye. I think the painted cabinets look great and they balance the color in the drapes. The wall color is warm and a nice backdrop, so I would caution you not to paint your french doors.
I love this room--the colors and decor are just beautiful. I really like the white doors! Please tell us what color paint you used on the walls.
Hi Sharlene, thanks for the sweet comment. I don't have the can anymore but I believe the color is homestead gold from Lowes. Hope that helps, Martina
Sharlene, the room is beautiful! LOVE the curtains! I have seen french doors painted black and LOVED them! I have thought about painting mine blac, but haven't gotten around to it yet.....whatever you choose will be beautiful!

Looks very beautiful! Picture molding is on my wish list as well!
Please leave the doors white! They really should match the rest of the molding. The white looks so refreshing and makes the room look bigger. Love everything you've done.
Hi there~ Your room is just gorgeous!! I love the colors and beautiful touches! That basket on the wall is fantastic- I am no help with the doors as I have stained dark french doors I am thinking of painting white right now! I love them white- Thanks for sharing at Feathered Nest Friday! :)
One of the reasons why French furniture remains one of the most popular choices when it comes to designing rooms is that it hardly matters what your particular preferences are, your idea of style, elegance or fashion, or even the size or type of room, because French design offers such an enormous range of choice.
Hi! Do you happen to know what the wall paint color is? Thanks :)
