Lucketts Green/The Reveal

 Hi friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! The desk is done and is finally in it's new home!!
 Remember the Before...
Not only was this my first Craigslist purchase but also my first time using milk paint.
MMS Lucketts green is such a pretty color and I love it even more when the dark wax is applied.
I wanted antique looking knobs, I found these online at my knobs.com.
I didn't want this piece super chippy, so I added the bonding agent when I mixed the paint. I did however do a few small areas without it just to see what would happen and I was happy with the result. I also needed a spot to hide the tower, so the hubs removed the two draws that were here and it was a perfect fit!

I sanded the old finish off the top using my electric hand sander, and restained it in a dark walnut.
 A Before & After...

Love how this piece turned out!
Now I just have to find a small antique chair and a small lamp, have the hubby hook my new computer up and this will be my new spot to blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
