First off I would just like to thank everyone for making my first week of blogging so much fun and thank you for all the sweet comments you left me. I appreciate them so much! I thought for my next post I would give you a tour of our master bedroom.I repainted this room last spring the color is Algonquin Trail by Ben. Moore.Of course along with painting I also added a few new things but I think I finally have it the way I want it.
The pictures above the bed I found in country curtains, and the pillow I just found in home goods. Gotta love those stores!
I love this pillow!!
My mom bought this clock on one of our shopping trips, she knows I love anything that has to do with birds.
This is the misters dresser, I just wish it could of housed the t.v.
This table though has special meaning because it belonged to my grandparents and my mom gave it to me. I always had a skirt on it because the top had gotten a little ruined. I hated hiding it so I decided to paint and distress it. The color I used is georgian green by Ben. Moore.
I also changed the mirror that came with my dresser to this pretty one I found in Home Goods.
I hope you enjoyed the tour and I always look forward to reading your comments!

Your room is beautiful! Love your family piece that you painted. I would love to know how you got Georgian Green to look creamy white...the paint finish is beautiful!
I love your calming bedroom, Martina! I have that same clock! : ) That pillow is great; I like the red in it ~ not too much, not too little.
Your bedroom is beautiful, Martina ... very elegant! Love that pillow, too. Your wall color is so pretty. And, your accessories are perfect for your space (love the phone)! *Becca*

What a beautiful bedroom! And I agree with you, that pillow is gorgeous. In fact, I just bought the same pillow with khaki green design, but I am thinking I might prefer the red like you have! Linda
Love it Martina. That paint color is gorgeous. Nice job!
Girl...you had me thinking I was losing my mind! I thought, hmmm, I have seen this bedroom...in fact, I remember her saying about the bird clock that it was from your mom. So I went back and then saw that you did post this before. Whew...ok, I am still semi-sane! It is gorgeous of course!!
I love the way your bedroom looks, it's gorgeous! I want to re-do my bedroom, but I don't start yet. I most definetelly love that color of the walls! I will do that. I love your 4 posted bed and all the other beautiful furniture. The clock is amazing.

Your MB looks great! Don't you love it when it finally 'clicks' and it's the result you've been wanting? I think that's a beautiful wall color and your furniture looks so rich with it. Enjoy it :)

Martina,
I found your site via BNOTP. I have a similar bedroom set and but I think my Master bedroom is smaller than yours. I will try angling my chest of drawers. The dresser can't go anywhere else in the room unless I put it on the window side and then I would have to deal with baseboard heat register and then be looking into the bathroom. The dresser with attached bi-fold mirror(3 pieces built into one)is so heavy. It's been in same place for 8 years and it's going to have to stay there.
I have a ceiling fan that comes in handy for circulation but the 1977 builder for these houses put no ceiling lights, so we have to depend on lamps or hire an electrician. It is next to impossible for an electrican to get into our attic. He had to be extremely skinny plus we'd have to tear out the Calif. closet unit in my DH's bedroom closet for anybody to get to the attic, so that is not an option.
My favorite color is in the lavender shades but the only color that appeals to me is Amethyst cream by BM paints#2071-50. We swear by BM paints and have been using them for about 13-15 years.
