A change of season in the Master Bedroom

           ~Warming up the Master Bedroom~
With the cooler months upon us, it was time to switch my summer bedding to something with warmer tones.

The coverlet and shams I've had, they came from Linen Source the color ivory. The duvet is new from Pottery Barn, it was on clearance the pattern  is Graciela Palampore, & the monogrammed velvet pillow is from Ballards in Latte.
At first I folded the duvet at the foot of the bed but it hid so much of the pretty pattern, so I opened it up. I like it so much better this way.

The check table skirt goes great with it. I changed the vignette up a bit too.

I bought the vase in Home Goods over the summer and just added some feathers and twigs.
Another new pillow on the chair too, I can't help myself;)

See the highboy in the mirror below. I'm thinking of painting it, to break up all the dark furniture in here.
The vignette on my dresser pretty much stayed the same, I just pulled this bird print out that I had stored away and layered it against my mirror. I like this look.
Note to self....update kids picture!
I hope you enjoyed the little tour of my "Winter" master bedroom! Thanks so much for stopping by, your visits & sweet comments make my day!

really pretty martina...i especially like the brown velvet pillow from PB, i've almost ordered it for myself a few times but haven't yet.

hope you have having a fabulous fall!

Blondie's Journal said...

Your room looks fabulous, Martina! Very warm and cozy. Funny how changing up the colors can make us feel that way. Love the velvet pillow! I have a PB duvet and I got so crazy with it because the down comforter in it always got so lumpy and I didn't like that. It looks like you don't have anything in yours...maybe that's the way to do it. I put that one on in the spring. Right now I'm like you, some warmer colors.

Ann from On Sutton Place said...

So, so pretty and cozy. Perfectly you. :o)

Very Cozy! I love the way you layered the bird print against the mirror.

I usually just toss an extra blanket under the covers. I'll look around and see what else I can do in mine for warmth, then I will report back how long it takes Brawn to notice.

I have bedroom envy right this minute, Martina!!!!!!! Your bedroom looks gorgeous, it's so warm and elegant at the same time. I love your dresser and the lovely vignette. I need to fix my master next year and soon! Thank you for your visit and have a happy weekend.
