Changes in the kitchen

 Hi there friends...
I hope you all had a great weekend!
I spent the weekend in the yard trying to put the finishing touches on the outside project we have going on...I'm loving the way it's turning out and can't wait to show you guys!
~~~
Now let's move on to the changes I made to the window over our kitchen sink.
Thanks to my friend Linda I have a pretty new french country valance in here...and then I also decided to add shutters to the lower half.
Remember the before...
  I'm loving the after so much better!
This is a very large window... so adding the shutters along with the new valance softened the look of the window which made me happy.
Come early afternoon the sun comes streaming in...and it stays like that until it sets in the evening.
  I love the small red check fabric she used for the piping and how she also lined the back of the curtain with it.
 She even thought of adding the little buttons and covered them in the same fabric...
Linda has such a great eye for detail!
Even the hubby keeps saying how much he likes the new look!
~~~
Thanks so much for stopping by today...
Have a great week!

Martina, shutters are my favorite window covering by far. We've used them in both our homes. The valance is a great way to dress them up, and your fabric choice is definitely making me smile. You knew it would! ;-)
Have a great week ahead. Good luck on the outdoor project. Hope you share it soon.
