A Makeover for Mom

Now that my mom's apartment is all fixed and back together after the water damage we had, she took some time out and went shopping! She found this birdcage is Home Goods.....
She likes the one I have in my bedroom and wanted to copy it. So out came the paint.....
                                                  MINE

So it went from looking like this.......

To this...... Sprayed the whole thing with dark grey spray paint as the base coat.

Then out came AS chalk paint in old white, sanded and waxed and now we have this......

And here it is hanging in it's new home.......

I'll be back to give you a tour's of mom's bedroom soon! We are still doing a little tweaking. Have a great weekend!  Martina

The bird cage turned out great. How did you wax all the those little wires? That was a lot of work.

Martina, you put your magic touch on this beautiful birdcage! If I see this at Homegoods, I might have to snatch one up ... now, if I could then just talk you into painting it for me! :) Glad that things are back to normal and the water damage/work is done!

The birdcage looks great, Martina. I purchased one similar to that one but it was a strange green color so I painted mine, too. Looking forward to seeing her newly decorated space.--------Shannon
