~Going from Dated to Darling~

This little cabinet of my mom's that houses her CD's recently underwent a facelift! She went from looking oh so dated to just darling! I first gave it a coat of AS Old White and then a coat of Chateau Grey. Sanded and distressed it, then waxed it with clear wax then the dark wax. It looked good but something was missing. So I took this stencil which I already had and added it to the door using Old White. After it dried I sanded over it lightly to make it look worn. I also replaced the knob with a  cute glass one. Here she is new and improved........

                                      Here's a Before & After

Much better don't you think! I always enjoy our visit's. Thanks so much for stopping by!

What an awesome transformation!! It looks so beautiful now! It's given me an idea too. I've been looking for a chunky plant stand. I'm going to look for one of these cd cabinets at the thrift store and see if I can turn it into a plant stand!
