Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

Another piece I can mark off the "to do list"
After painting the mirror I decided to hang it on the wall instead of reattaching it to the dresser, I think it looks nicer this way.
Can't wait for my paint to arrive so I can get started on that armoire!
Again, I used AS chalk paint in Pure White and then applied the clear wax. I went a little heavier with the distressing on this piece then I did on the dresser.

Now it looks complete! We're not going to add any accessories until after the room is painted, seeing we would only have to put them away.

Mackenzie loves the new look and can't wait for me to get started on the next piece!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

the mirror really brings the whole piece together. I like the heavier distressing on the mirror as well. Great job on those!

The mirror looks very pretty painted white, Martina! I'm not looking forward to doing the actual painting on an armoire I've got on the painting list. It's a big piece of furniture! I am looking forward to the outcome though. Can't wait to see yours!

Has my vote!! Beautiful!!

It's lovely Martina. It's amazing the difference a coat of paint will make, isn't it? Can't wait to see what else you do with the room. Have a great day!

It looks really pretty! I agree with you, the mirror look better on the wall than attached to the dresser. The room is going to be so beautiful!!

That's a great look. Isn't white paint just the best invention??? It doesn't even have to be chalk paint. Just good old fashioned white paint does the trick every time. I, in fact, need to buy some more white trim paint. I'm all out since I used it on several furniture pieces last year. LOL!

Yvonne @ StoneGable said...

This is such a pretty mirror, Martina. And it really pops now that it is white! So sweet!

Martina, what a beautiful and professional job. I have not used the "chalk paint" as of yet....looking forward too. Thanks for posting your end result of a beautiful new mirror Blessings, Karen ...A Cape Cod Nest.

You really make it appear so easy with your

presentation but I to find this topic to be really one
thing

that I feel I would by no means understand. It seems too complicated and extremely large for
me. I am

taking a look ahead to your next

publish, I’ll attempt to get the cling of it!

I'm painting with AS right now, and you've just convinced me to distress a bit more. I really love how this mirror looks Martina. Especially hung on the wall.

I love the white makeovers. I have an old dark dresser and mirror that could use the same and I'm considering it. I'm a new reader and am enjoying your blog.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year

old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the
shell to her ear and

screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is

entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

What a beautiful job of painting. I have not the nerve to take on such a project but OH how I wish I did. I love white..and have it in my living room but afraid to paint the two curio cabinets.
You've inspired me..but I am so afraid I will mess it up.
