Powder Room Makeover

Hi there friends...
Hope you all had a nice weekend!
We had a few inches of snow on Saturday but a big storm is heading our way today into tomorrow!
~~~
When I found the vintage mirror for our foyer here I knew I was going to use the mirror that was already there in our powder room.
~~~
 I wanted to paint the mirror first before hanging it in there...well one thing led to another and I wound up not only painting the mirror but the powder room too!!
  Remember the mirror before...
I used the Americana chalk paint from Home Depot in Carbon again...I had plenty leftover from the table makeover here.
I added a little bit of antique gold rub & buff to the detail work to make it stand out.
I used a kids tooth brush to apply it...it worked perfectly letting just enough get on!
My new towel bar that I ordered from Luckett's.
I love the vintage look it has.

I wanted to keep the framed botanicals that I had hanging in here...I just arranged them differently when I hung them back up.

The boxwood wreath I already had but I just found this pretty wooden architectural piece at the indoor flea market I frequent...
I like the way they look together.
 The three tier stand came from Home Goods over the summer...it replaced the small white cabinet I had in here for years...
I like the way this looks so much better.
 I also changed out the brushed nickel light I had in here to this pretty french country sconce that I ordered online from Home Depot...and added the buffalo check shades to it.

  I really love the powder rooms new look!
I used the same paint color in here that's throughout our first floor...Cornice Tan (formula cut in half) by Ben. Moore.
~~~
Isn't it funny...I was only going to swap out a mirror but that led to a mini makeover !!
You are a ball of energy! I used to be but it seems the wind in my sail has diminished a bit! The mirror turned out great- love the new towel bar. I like the continuity of carrying the entryway color into the powder room.
I'm in love with the paint transformation on your mirror...beautiful! And that towel bar is so cute. Doesn't it feel good to freshen up a small space with paint. We're giving our powder room a facelift too...waiting for the new sink fixtures to come in so we can finish it up.
Wow, I love the new look to the mirror, Martina! It looks totally different. Isn't that always the way? One small change snowballs into more! I have fern prints in our master bath that I am going to hang up in a different way, too. It will be nice to look at some favorite prints in a different way.
Stay safe and warm with that storm coming!
Oh wow! The details in your powder room are gorgeous. If I came over to your house, you'd wonder why I was dawdling in here because I'd be gawking at everything for so long. You've done a wonderful job of bringing all these elements together to create the perfect little powder room. And the new paint on your mirror? Pure perfection!
Yes. I totally get how one inspiration piece can start a momentum of change in an entire space. Martina I absolutely love this makeover, the Lucketts towel rack with the scones and check shade looks perfect with the mirror. I've used that chalky paint too and like it. I'm in the middle of a bathroom remodel that was unplanned. a pipe broke ugh. Looks like I'll be sharing some bathroom posts too....
