New Year ~ New Vignette

Thank you all for the sweet & comforting comments you left me on the loss of our Toby. They mean so much!
After finally getting all my Christmas stuff put away I was left with a clean slate, so I want to put things back a little differently. I started with the skirted table in my living room.
I bought this pretty little majolica dish months ago on ebay and it's been sitting in a drawer ever since.
Sorry for all the brightness near the window, the snows reflection made it very hard to get good photos.
Here's what it looked like before...
Please ignore the short panels, having both air vents there I can't puddle the panels to the floor they would block them. I am thinking of having another piece of fabric added just to bring it down to the floor. When I had the other chairs here it wasn't noticeable.
I'll be back and show you how how I moved some of the seating around next!
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit!

Very pretty Martina, and I don't mind the short curtains at all. I love your chair and that darling lamp.

Very sweet vignette, Martina. I like the crown you put in the mix. I didn't even notice the curtain panels until you drew attention to them.

only you notice little things like that. Martina, I was so sad to hear about your beloved Toby. Losing a pet is hard but keeping his memories in heart will help with your sadness. Hugs for you!!

Hi Martina, I love your skirted table! I just ordered a new tablecloth from Ballard and can't wait to get it! About your drapes... you can buy those plastic vent covers that direct the air outward. We did that when we put the new drapes in the Kitchen Hearth room.

Pretty vignette, Martina! Love the crown {I have one just like it!} and the plant. I'm trying to do some different displays, too. Still playing though {and still looking for those things I put away for Christmas decorating that I can't find}.

my daughter has plastic vent thingys that fit into the heat vents on her floor to direct the air away from the drapes. Just thought this might be available to you.

Love that plate and the lamp next to it!

Looks beautiful! I love crowns as well and understand the curtain situation very well! I had to do the same in my old house. Sometimes function trumps form!

Maybe some long fringe would look pretty on the drapes? I love every last detail!

Martina, your vignette looks so pretty! It is so hard to decorate after taking the Holiday decor down. You are doing an excellent job! The green plate looks gorgeous next to the greenery and crown. Very, very pretty!

I love your new vignette! Majolica is so pretty. I can't beleive you had that cute plate in a drawer somewhere! LOL! I noticed that pretty crown too. Love that!

That's so pretty, I love it. I know how you feel about the drapes, I wish I could puddle mine, they were actually designed that way, but they rest on vents...what was the builder thinking??? I ended up buying the 96 inchers and hanging them all the way up to the ceiling which is a good thing...they draw the eye up and make the ceilings look higher. Have a good one.

The bunny is darling. Not to mention the crown. It is oddly over 60 degrees here-I will take some snow:}
