Summer Bedding~Will's Room

Hi there friends...

This change all started when my mom picked up this new patch work quilt for my son's room! It didn't come with the matching shams...and I'm so glad about that.

Then I saw Kim's post on her recent trip to Ikea... and the fabulous duvet and shams she picked up for her farmhouse style guest room here

The blue ticking was perfect to complete his new summer bedding!

I added one of the red ticking pillow covers that I purchased from Ann a few years ago to break up all that blue.

Love the buttons.

A lighter and brighter look for the warmer months ahead!

I gave you a hint in my last post what I was on the hunt for...and look what I found!!
I made a stop at the indoor flea market I told you about that opened a few months ago not far from my house...DANGEROUS!

This was in one of the booths I always check out when I visit. When I spotted it my heart started to flutter with excitement...LITERALLY!!

I couldn't wait to get it home...I knew exactly where it was going!

I gasped when I saw the price...I thought I was going to have to pay much more.

Now I can FINALLY say my master bath is complete!!

The hubby has a hard time believing that one...I wonder why?!?!

~Antique Ladders~

Hi there friends...TGIF!!

I love the look of these antique ladders and I've been on the hunt for one to use in our master bath.

I found all these pretty images on Pinterest.

These chippy darker ones are my favorite!

I LOVE everything about this bath...look at that tub and that floor!

I saw this next photo awhile back...it was my inspiration for when I bought the new rug in our master bath.

Don't those quilts look so pretty draped over that ladder!

Dressing up the Sconces

Hi there friends...

Well I couldn't just leave well enough alone...every time I looked at the sconces above my tub they just looked lost against the new lighter paint color.

So... I decided to change them up and give them a more country french look.

Here's how I did it...

I bought these plain shades in Hobby Lobby... they sell them in the fabric section. They have them in different shapes and sizes.

The best part is they have a ready made template wrapped around the shade to make cutting the fabric easy!!

I need all the help I can get with that part lol!

I knew I wanted to use a check fabric so I found this small green check fabric in Hobby Lobby and then added the shaggy trim around the bottom...I also added a small cream braided trim to the top to give it a more finished look...(and to hide my imperfections!)
