Love the change Martina. I have black shelves in my washroom. I love them. Black just seems to ground the room.

It really does stand out more. I love the new color! At first, I thought that little silver decanter had Northern Nesting engraved on it until I realized that it was just your blog name added to the photo! HA!

I think sometimes we just don't see things after looking at them for so long! The black looks fabulous. Love the silver.
I like it black. I try painting stuff black and it never looks right in my house. White doesn't look right either. I gotta figure that problem out.

Painting that shelf black was a great idea! It looks like a new shelf now. Interesting how small changes can have such a great impact on something as simple as a small shelf.

Love how it looks! We have been painting white shelves, hutches, pie safes...you name it...if it was white it is now black with a little distressed look to it. The black looks so amazing and I am loving it. Love your shelf. I just did one today and I'm going to put it up tomorrow. Great post.
