Will's Room...The Reveal

 Hi Friends...Happy Halloween!
My son's room is done and he couldn't be more happier with the results...which makes me very happy!
The new color is Classic Silver by Behr, we used the paint that is paint and primer in one...it covered beautifully. I bought the letters in Hobby Lobby and spray painted them in navy, they simply lean against the wall on the little ledge we added to the top of the bead board.
LOVE the way the accent wall turned out!
I repainted his tall dresser in AS Emperor's Silk...this color is definitely a true red.
The hubby wants to know if it will be painted for a fifth time...I just rolled my eyes and said you never know;)
New bedding I ordered from Target online.
Here's a before shot...when I tried making this pic larger it became very grainy sorry:(
And here's the after...definitely looks like a pre-teen room now don't you think!
Going to replace the area rug when I find the perfect one.
I even used the navy spray paint on his window cornice...I like the way it makes it pop.
Repainted his shelf in AS Emperor's Silk also. I had the little table you see on the side of his dresser in my storage room. Gave it a coat of gray paint and it works perfectly to hold his X-Box (that he's only allowed to use on the weekends during the school year)! The dresser in here is my childhood dresser.
Will picked out his new lamp...I like the industrial look it has to it.
We found the baseball canvas of his favorite team in Target. Next to it in the baseball frame is a picture of him when he was 3 at Shea Stadium(now known as CitiField) I told him that's something that has to stay...it's one of my favorite pics!

I couldn't pass up this metal sign I found in Hobby Lobby...it's my son to a tee! I hung it above his closet doors.

Another project complete! Next week I'll start on the powder room...it's never ending!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Martina,
Your son's room looks marvellous! I love the bead board wall and his name on it looks great. Navy and red is a wonderful colour for a boy, isn't it.
He's lucky to have a talented mom who can decorate and re-decorate when needed.
The red painted furniture looks great!
Hugs, Cindy

That's a great room! Boys rooms are so hard. I have two boys and we also went through a stage similar to what you've created. I absolutely love the beadboard you did.

Hi Martina!!!!

You did a great redo job!!!

I love the lettering and the theme of baseball!!! It's always important to keep something from his earlier years. It reminds us moms that our child was a small person once!!

Have a great weekend Martina!!!

Great makeover Martina! I can see why he likes it so. I can only imagine that half your pleasure is knowing that he's pleased since it's so hard to please kids these days. Looks great!
