Well first I thought I would show all of you what we woke up to this morning! Come on mother nature it's spring! Thankfully it was all melted by this afternoon.
OK onto the Dining Room, after seeing so many of you guy's lightning things up it looked so beautiful I decided I wanted to do the same in my dining room. I just love all the inspiration you get from blogging! I painted the walls the same color I have in my living room & hallway. The paint color is soft camel by Valspar in eggshell finish.
Here's a before picture
Then it went to this. Painted below the chair rail white and added the picture molding. But couldn't stop here!
And here's the after
Oh how I'm loving the lighter version thanks to all the great inspiration!
In this picture you can see our pool trying to thaw out.
Wanted to show you the pretty details on this lamp. I am thinking of cutting to beads off the shade, what do you think?
My little touch of spring in the dining room.
When I took a break from rolling I would run to the garage to use these so I would be ready for Debbie's "Color my world Party"!! For those of you who don't know about it click her button on my sidebar and you can check it out! I think my family is ready to commit me LOL!!
Would love to here what you think of the dining room. Did you like the gold better or the new lighter version! I love reading your comments, Martina

Oh I loved both ways, the camel color is stunning, however I really do love the lighter version. It just look so inviting and fresh. The picture molding is a wonderful addition also. I love the lamp and the shade and I would keep the beads. It looks fabulous. Hugs, Marty
I love the new look of your diningroom. It is more softer, cozy and inviting. Good job!
Loved both the colors you had in here, Martina. I had a color similar to your new color in my dining room and then I went with a Copper color a few years ago. Of course, now I'm feeling I'd like to go lighter again . . . : )
Martina, I love it!! Now yours and mine look alike. So much brighter.
Martina, I love the new color! And I love your drapes, your accessories, all of it! It's such a pretty room!
Thanks for sharing.
Pam
Martina,
We woke up to a winter wonderland too.
I love the transformation of your beautiful dining room.
Dee
Hey Martina...I know what you mean about being inspired by other bloggers. I find myself walking around my house looking for things I can paint white! All of my furniture is stained wood. Not one piece of painted furniture in the whole house.
I can hardly wait until our weather gets nicer so I can set up in my garage and start in. Your dining room is just lovely. Well done! ~Ann
It is beautiful! It really did lighten it up!
Your new color is so pretty and really lightens the room. I am going to have to check out that color for our family room!
Lovely! It looked great before but the after does look much brighter and more welcoming! Great job!
Hi Martina,
Although your dining room looked beautiful before I'm liking the after a lot too. Love the additiong of the picture framing below the chair rail, the white and loving the new lighter wall color...Awesome job! I just came across your blog and can't wait to look around some more. Wishing you a wonderful day.
Hugs and Smiles,
♥Ana

Oh - and I am your newest follower! :)
I also like the dining room both ways, but the lighter version is so bright and cheery and so great for spring time. I am so sorry you got snow! It was in the low 50's here today and we just had a wonderful thunderstorm...I am hoping spring is here finally for us! and for you too!!! go away snow!
Ooohh... it looks fabulous! I LOVE the lighter color... so light and airy. And, yes, I'd lose the beads on the lampshade. I have one of those, too, and I think the beads are dated. Or, if you wait long enough, they'll come back in style :)
Wow what a great transformation!! I love the lighter brighter look. The room actually looks larger now. Great job.
I love the soft shades you used in your dining room. They looks so soft and fresh and pretty.
Just beautiful both ways Martina..your whole house is to die 4 girl..Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
Well it was beautiful to begin with, but it just keeps getting better and better! I love the new lighter color! Vanna
Ok this is not good my new friend, because my entire home is the color of your before and I really like your after....my Hubs is going to kill you! Great job, your home is just beautiful
Over from Show N Tell... love it lighter. Your dining room is lovely. I say cut the beads.. just got rid of some of mine on a lamp and I don't miss them.
I love the new colour. Perfect for spring. I have exactly the plate as the one on top of your display cabinet. I also have mine displayed in my dining room. Great minds think alike! LOL. Have a lovely weekend! x sharon
Hi Martina...
Ohhh my gosh...did you just paint your dining room? That was sooo fast, Girlfriend! Well dear friend, I love it! I love the light and bright feel of this room! Ohhh...it makes me want to go in and paint my dining room! Hehe! Honestly, I love both colors, my friend! I think the camel was gorgeous...had a very warm feel to it! But...the lighter color IS stunning! Really sooo very perfect for the new spring and summer seasons that we are about to enter. Girl, it is the same at my place...it has been so nice and now they are forecasting snow tonight through the weekend! Sheeesh!!! I do have to say though...your house really does look pretty under that white blanket of fluffy stuff! Hehe! Anyway, I love what you've done in your dining room. The green wreath that you added to the mirror...sooo pretty! And...I just adore that tall red and white toile vase! Ohh my gosh...if I had seen that...it would have come home with me! Hehe! Take care dear friend!!!
Warmest spring wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

Wow! What a difference the paint color made! I didn't need to see the snow, though. It will be here again before you know it! Your lawn looks gorgeous with the fresh snow cover.
