Powder Room Makeover

Hi Friends... I've been painting up a storm freshening the house up for the holidays. Once my son's room was complete I started on our powder room...

Here's some before shot's...
The hubby and I added the bead board 4 years ago and this is pretty much how it looked since then except for some small changes.
Last year I painted the shelf black and changed up the vignette...

Now for the afters...the paint color looks similar to what was there but the new color is much lighter. The new color is "Hush" by Benjamin Moore...it's a nice creamy natural color.
I also painted the ceiling white...before it was the same color as the walls. Being there is no natural light in here the white ceiling definitely brightens this space up.

My favorite change was adding these 4 botanical prints I bought on Etsy. I found the frames in Home Goods...I loved the burlap matte they had. I did paint the frames black...originally the were a cream color(forgot to take a before shot of them sorry!)
Love the way the black frame pops against the wall color.
 And here's #4...
 Here's a close up...
I also changed up the knobs on this small cabinet and on the sink cabinet to these pretty ones I found in Hobby Lobby.
Still loving the black ticking hand towels I ordered from Pottery Barn last year.
Now we have to make the potty look pretty too!
This wire container came filled with 3 little topiaries but I removed the middle one and used it somewhere else...so I added a few soaps to the middle.
I found this cute soap dispenser in Home Goods and just placed one of my cabbage plates under it.
I also changed up the globes on my light. The fixture came with frosted white but I like the way these seeded glass ones look much better.
Still using my Dash & Albert black and white check rug in here.
Now I can take a break and start getting ready for  Thanksgiving since we are having a house full!

Thanks so much for stopping by...Have a great week!

Girl - you've been a busy bee! Love this room too. And I think I need to switch my globes in the guest bath for seeded glass. Never occurred to me!

You are on a roll girl! I've switched some of my lights too - when we moved in they were an amber color and I've switched them to white. Now in one of my bathrooms I need the seeded glass. That looks great and lets out so much more light! Your bathroom is fantastic.

I love the changes you made! The new wall color is just right and I love the black touches you've added. I still have yet to work on my son's room this month. It is on the calendar though! I'm not hosting anything this year, so I'm not too worried about it.

Looks great, Martina. I love those frames with the burlap mats. I wonder if my HG has them. You have the same rug that I have in my sun room except different color. We both love our plaid and checks. :)

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.
