It needed just a lil something more!!

Hi there friends...
Tell me I'm not alone on this...
last night at 11pm I walked by this piece and a little ping went off in my brain to add a lil something more to it!!
So I grabbed a stencil I had on hand...
my antique gold rub & buff...and went to work.
This morning after I knew the rub & buff was dry I lightly sanded over the stencil with my sanding sponge to give it a worn look.
Then I applied a touch of clear wax to protect the finish.

I really need to tell my brain these "pings" need to go off a little bit earlier lol!!
Have a great Sunday and stay warm!

Oh, you're so not alone, Martina. If I can't sleep at night, I get up and walk around the house finding all kinds of things to tweak. The stencil you added gave that piece a lot of charm and personality...Love it!

The stencil really is a super addition - subtle, but definitely a wow! Love the basket the plant is in as well. Jane

This is so nice, Martina...kudos to you! It almost looks lie it's truly original to the piece.

I love your spunk. I can't sleep much at night but I could never start a project, I would be too psyched out! :)

Oh yes, my brain works the same way too. I've had lightbulb moments while lying in bed trying to go to sleep then have trouble falling asleep because I can't quit thinking about it. I love the stencil pattern you used on the piece. It's just the right finishing touch.

I'm with ya! Hate those late night ideas that get me so overwhelmed with inspiration that I can't sleep. I think the acting on the ping gave that darling table the extra special something it was craving. So beautiful!! ;)
