Adding some PIZAZZ to a plain black tray!

Crafty I am not, but I think I gave this plain black tray a little pizazz when I added this black and white zig zag(Chevron) fabric to the inside of it.
I even finished it off with some white roping. After cutting the fabric to size I used Mod Podge to glue it to the tray. The Mod Podge didn't work to well with the white roping so I used my glue gun for that.
I bought the fabric and roping in Hobby Lobby.
Now Mackenzie has a spot to gather some of her favorite things.
See that white ceramic box, I made that in ceramics class at least 30 years ago. She uses it for all her earrings.
Much cuter for a teenager's room, don't you think!
Hope your all having a super week...there is snow in our forecast for today and tonight:(

The tray looks great with the black and white chevron!

That chevron pattern is perfect for that tray. It really dresses it up and will make it much more "hip" for your daughters room now.

Wow, pizzazz indeed. I have always wanted to dress up some trays but never thought to use roping to make it look so finished. Now I must try it. Thanks for the idea.

Hi Martina,

I love your black tray and it's styled perfectly. I've been looking for one for my coffee table.. The monogrammed ones are SO expensive. Yours is just perfect! Have a nice weekend!
