2012 year in review~paint projects

Hi friends.....
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are rested up! I spent all day yesterday in my pjs doing nothing :)
I put together a year in review of some of my favorite paint makeovers of 2012. Let's take a look...

First up, the clock in my living room going from traditional...

... too country french.
The table makeover I did for my sweet cousin.
Before...

 After...

My tag sale chest makeover in AS Aubusson blue.
 Before...

 After...

The little chest in my foyer went from looking like this...

 to this...

This little tea table my mom gave me was a dark mahogany, using Annie Sloan Arles...
 it now looks like this...
This next table had a few different looks.
 Before...
 After, using AS Old White.

After after, adding AS Coco and a heavy distressing.

This white shelf in my powder room got a new look too...
Painting it black really made it pop in this space. Sometimes it's the little changes that I love the best!
A little change that I'm so happy I made was repainting this frame on my mantel. When I look back at this one, I think to myself what was I thinking!?!
Annie Sloan to the rescue! So much better!!
The last piece I did this year is one of my favorites!! My Craigslist desk makeover.
This was also my first time trying Miss Mustard Seeds milk paint. I used Luckeets Green.

 Love this piece!
Well that wraps up my 2012 year in review favorite paint projects!
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!

Oh Martina what amazing tranformations! I think my favorite is the change to the picture frame. The new paint color makes the whole picture just pop off the canvas! And of course I do love your desk...can't beat that price and what a perfect spot it has to live. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very beautiful start to the new year!!!
Cheers!!
XO Barbara

Martina, your paint projects are fabulous. I am always nervous to paint a piece of furniture for styles and tastes change so much. I like your "go for it" attitude. Each project is so well done. Thanks for sharing and for following Uptown Acorn. xo, Ron

Isn't it crazy what paint will do. Just look at the difference in the picture with the frame change! As simple as that. Funny how our tastes evolve too. Hey, stop over to see my best of 2012. I have great stuff planned for 2013!
