2011 Before & Afters

I am joining Rhoda over at Southern Hospitality for the Top Projects of 2011 Party. Here are a few of my favorite projects that I accomplished this year.

 Our tv console BEFORE.....

and AFTER..... Using Annie Sloan chalk paint in Coco and then dry brushing Old Ochre in the door and side panels. Finishing with both the clear and dark waxes.

 Our dining room BEFORE.....

and AFTER.....Lighter & brighter also added the picture molding under the chair rail.

 Mackenzie's bathroom BEFORE.....

and AFTER.... Added beadboard, painted the walls a bright fun color, and added a few new accessories.

 Hall table BEFORE.....

and AFTER..... painted with BM georgian green

and AFTER AFTER.....painted over using AS Chateau Grey and Old White on all the details.

 Kitchen island BEFORE.....

and AFTER.... painted black and added beadboard and decorative molding. My FAVORITE 2011 project!

 Corner cabinet and chair BEFORE.....

and AFTER.... replaced rocker with this french chair and painted and distressed the corner cabinet.

The wheels in my head are already spinning for 2012! Thanks so much for stopping by!

your creative talent ought to be purchased by one of the High End decor stores. I can hear the phone ringing and Ballard or Front Gate begging you to come there and be their most special consultant.. I'll be your first customer:)
cut me a break though cause spending money effects my blood pressure in a bad way.. giggle

Some of these I haven't seen before. I really love what you did with your daughters bathroom! That looks so fresh and pretty. I'm thinking about adding beadboard to my guest bathroom some time this year too. I also really love the change with the new french chair and cabinet above it.

What fabulous projects you crossed off of your list this past year, Martina! I love ALL of them, BUT, if I had to pick a fave, it would have to be your kitchen island makeover! Great job, and I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for 2012!

You had some amazing makeover projects, but my favorite is the kitchen island. What a difference it made in your kitchen!

My favorite trans is the dining room. The addition of the wainscoting and making the walls a more subtle color really lifted the room and gave it great sophistication, sparked by the plaid draperies. I also like the change in the kitchen island -- anchoring.

Hope you'll come by and see our orange ceiling.
Happy New Year! Jane

Martina,

Your home is beautiful! Such impressive projects.

As see you over at the "Before & After" party -- how genius is that concept -- and was hoping you could also join our month-long "Imagine the Impossibilities" challenge. You can find more about it here ...

... and it all culminates at a multi-blog Jan 31 link party!

Hope you can join us!
