My new/old pastoral oil painting

 Hi there friends...
Happy Monday...I hope you all had a nice weekend!
We are FINALLY having Spring temps here!
It was 75 yesterday so I was outside most of the day doing some Spring clean up...love working in the yard!
~~~
Last week when I showed you some of the shuffling that has been going on at my house...I showed how I moved the Currier & Ives picture that was hanging in our foyer to it's new spot here
~~~
Have no fear...I already had a new painting to put in it's spot!
I bought this pretty pastoral on ebay.

 I loved the old frame that came with it...but it was beyond damaged so I took it to Hobby Lobby and had them frame it for me.
I was to impatient to wait 2 weeks for a custom frame to have the painting fit perfectly so I picked an opened frame they already had and they added a double matte to it. The lighter one is a cloth matte which I love!
It was signed and dated by the painter on the back.

~~~
On Saturday my mom and I and my oldest daughter Mackenzie went into the city to see the Spring Spectacular at Radio City...it was FABULOUS!!  Derek Hough was amazing!
If your in or near the city before May 3rd I highly recommend getting tickets to see it!
Mackenzie was thrilled she was able to get a picture with one of the Rockettes...her dream is to dance on that stage one day!
Have a SPECTACULAR week!!
Ooh I love the painting and the matting looks perfect with it. That's a great frame and quite perfect for an oil painting. How fun to go into the city and see a show like that! I hope your daughter can reach that goal of performing on the stage at Radio City!
Wonderful new/old painting. I am like you--too impatient to wait for weeks to have something custom framed. That's what they make mats for!!!! lol
Your daughter is just lovely-what a thrill for her to meet a Rockette. xo Diana
That's a beautiful painting, Martina, and I love the frame you chose for it.
It sounds like a great time. I didn't know Radio City had a Spring Spectacular. We used to go to the Christmas show every couple of years.
I love your new painting! It's beautiful and very country French. I like that it's an original and even signed and dated. That was a great find. I loved the photo of your daughter with a Rockette too. I can imagine how excited she was to see that show. I danced when I was young all the way until about age 23! I enjoy watching dancing shows like that. The love of dance stays with you throughout your life if you had it when you were young.
