Maison Blanche Paint~Wrought Iron

Hi Friends...
I started off the year with a few paint projects using a new to me paint Maison Blanche. I know it's been around and I'm sure some of you might have already tried it but this was a first for me and I have to say I LOVED IT!
The pieces I was using it on I wanted to paint black, so I used their color called Wrought Iron...my friends if you are looking for a true black this is it!
I found this cute little rattan piece at an antique shop for $12 right after Christmas.
I figured I could move this table back to it's original home in the family room and use this new piece here instead.
It just needed a good cleaning and a little makeover.
And now for the AFTER...
I shopped the house for accessories and used things I already had. The only thing that is new is the Le Creuset crock that I put my little evergreen tree in that I had from Christmas.
I'll let you in on a little secret...I copied this idea from Angela over at Number Fifty-Three ;)
I just lightly distressed the edges on this piece. I love how the original color looks with the black.

Another BEFORE...
and AFTER...

I'll show you the other piece I painted with Maison Blanche next!
Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

That turned out so pretty! I've never heard of that paint before. This time of year is great for indoor projects like that.

It looks so great! I had not heard of that paint. Is it a chalk paint?

Love that color, Martina! I was so happy when I found it, too, to get that true black color. It goes on great, doesn't it? Your piece looks great and works perfectly in that spot. I love the tree in the crock. I wish I could get motivated. I supposed I'm just tired of being cooped up for the past few days. I did do some sewing, but I have a painting project I want to get started on. Hopefully, this week!

What a beauty! I love the silver compote. I can't tell you how many of those I have sold in my booth and I don't have a one now. Shoot! I've got to get busy hunting again.

Love your blog. I'm gonna be following you and hope you'll visit White Lace and Promises.

I was just wondering today if there was a paint out there that is blackish. I assume it's kind of like chalk paint. Your shelf looks great!

it's fate you posted this today because I have that exact piece that I had my husband bring out of storage yesterday...I thought about using it in the bathroom I'm about to re-do but I've been hesitant to paint it. mine is in really good shape and I'm not sure I want to paint it but if I do I'm going to use the paint you recommended. yours is beautiful!

Hi Martina,
What a great makeover. I love the paint color and the bit of distress. I am a fan of black furniture and have it all through my home. Your accents make it all the more perfect. Looks like you are off to a great start to the new year. Thanks for sharing the paint. I have not tried this one. How does it stack up to Chalk paint.
Happy New Year!
Hugs

I have a feeling you are gonna be painting something else soon in the wrought iron, it turned out great. I too like that color, but I've been out a while as I'm trying to use up all the other stuff I have.

I have a white wicker tea cart that I'd love to paint black...but I've never heard of this paint...may not have it in Lubbock.
Your piece looks beautiful where you have it...and now, I want a little tree in a pretty white pot...:)

I am not familiar with Maison Blanche paint and will have to look for it. One of my local shops just began carrying Miss Mustard Seed Paint. I have to drive quite a distance to buy Annie Sloan Chalk Paint so I am thinking of trying MMS. I will have to see if anyone local carries MB paint.

Your little shelf turned out great. I love the places where the old finish comes through on the black.

Hi Martina, I came over from Must Love Junk. You have a beautiful home and the rattan piece is gorgeous in black! I have never heard or seen the paint you used but I love the looks of it! We are in the beginning stages of renovating a true cedar shake cottage. I love getting ideas from blogland and since I enjoy a "french touch", I'm sure I will get lovely ideas from you!
