A Country French Mantelscape

My mantel usually stays the same...I only change it during the Fall and Christmas seasons.
Here's how it looked for the past few years...
I still like this look but after taking the Christmas decorations down I was ready for a change.
Here's the new look...
I loved the way the Christmas wreath looked hanging in the frame so I decided to leave the frame and add a boxwood wreath that I had in my hoarding room!
I found these candlesticks in a decor shop before Christmas along with this demijohn.
Love old tattered books...they were great for adding some height.

Now for the other side...I think I bought every different size & shape candlestick they had!
Love the rusty patina on these.

I couldn't bear to throw out the poinsettia in the basket...it still looks so beautiful! Although it might not last too much longer with the fireplace constantly on!!
    A new year...A new look!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

My mantel has been neglected the past year. And now, I put my old tin ware back up after Christmas and couldn't get it to look right, so just left it!

What a great look! Love the idea. The frame gives presence but allows the wreath to be showcased! Nice demijohn and bee skep! The candlesticks add a nice rustic feel. :-)
