Happy Monday friends!! I hope you all had a great weekend. Our's was busy...we had family visiting which is always fun and we had plenty of snow that needed to be shoveled from the 14inches that dropped on Friday into Saturday morning.Family left to go home this morning, now it's time to clean up and get all the laundry done:(
When my cousin gifted me that beautiful grandfather clock you can see here I needed to move some of my seating around. The two chairs that I had in front of the large window were moved to the side wall in each corner, if I didn't move them it would have looked to crowded with the clock in the corner.
Here's one in one corner...
...and here's the other. It's on the same wall in the other corner. The french chair that was in this corner is now in front of the window near the skirted table. Bare with me guys... I'm confusing myself a bit... LOL!
I'm liking the new arrangement. I want to paint my coffee table to give it a more casual Country French feel, any suggestions on what color I should go with? I was thinking maybe a green?
Looking in from the dining room.
The new arrangement is even a better fit for conversation when entertaining with friends.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a super week!

It looks great...I adore painted furniture...I painted all of my kitchen chairs a few years ago and now I want to change them...that's the fun of paint! Have a great day!!
Martina, the new arrangement is very pretty and you get such beautiful light in that room. I like your idea of painting the coffee table - green sounds nice! You got a lot more snow than us. We ended up with 6 inches in our section of New Jersey.

Lovely Martina! Perhaps a green paint for table.
So pretty Martina...love the look of the photo showing the entire area...lovely!

Love the clock (and really the entire room). The windows are amazing. We got so much snow--probably like 2 feet and now freezing rain and sleet.

I love the new arrangement. The coffee table would look beautiful in a shade of green. I'm sure whatever you decide it will be beautiful. I love your taste in home decor!
Very beautiful Martina. I love your changes.

It looks good this way, Martina! Not a major change, but it's funny how bringing one piece in can start the ball rolling in moving things around.
What a beautiful room and arrangement, Martina. I do think the coffee table would look good in green. Try it and if you do not like it, paint it again. xo
Beautiful changes Martina!

I love the clock and the arrangement of your beautiful chairs. Green would be wonderful for the table, or grey, maybe?
Have a lovely week. Cindy

Martina, your new arrangement looks wonderful. Your sitting room looks gorgeous! Love all the light coming in through that gorgeous window.
Martina - did the chair wood come that way or did you put a wash of some kind over the wood?
Bliss

Gorgeous! I just love your home.
I love the new arrangement. It looks like a room that is just inviting people to sit and have a warm conversation. I like the idea of painting the table as well. Let us know what you decide. Have a great rest of the week!
melinda
Pretty! Don't you love the feel of a whole new room just from rearranging the furniture? Yes, a sage-y green would be beautiful!
Martina, I am so distracted with all the beauty in this room... I love the chest and the french chair and the colors!
I see your chair and your drapes have a soft gold color in them... have you seen AS country grey? It is not grey but a soft muted gold. I just painted some dining room chairs with it and did a wash of white over it. I'm planning on finding a side board and painting it Country Grey and using dark wax to antique it. You should check out that pretty color. It would certainly be a great color in your lovely room!
Martina I can't believe how pretty the lighting is in these photos! And I think green would be a good choice in the room.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I
found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said
"You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to
her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally
off topic but I had to tell someone!
