~Poinsettias~

Poinsettias... some people love them and some  not so much. I happen to be one of them who love them, especially red ones! I have them in every room.
Look what it was doing here yesterday :)

Seeing that made me play around in picmonkey way too long!!
Snowflakes anyone...
My favorite little pillow I bought from Ann's shop last year.
Look at this cute little faux one.

I even have a hooked poinsettia rug that I use in our powder room.
I still need a few more smaller ones for a centerpiece I want to do on our kitchen table.
Do you like to decorate with poinsettias? What color do you like?

Martina poinsettias add that perfect pop of red! I don't decorate with them but I think they are so pretty! I could probably do white in my house. But not real ones. With our cat it would be deadly.

Oh, Poinsettias are just beautiful. They look great in your home, Martina.

I love the PINK ones, but alas, I can't be around them. I have the worst allergic reaction to them, that triggers an asthma attack. The old church we used to go to had Poinsettias everywhere...in huge stacks and row upon row. When they were out, I couldn't even attend services there. :(

Martina, presently, I have three. I only like the traditional red ones. I like to use them lining the staircase. Yours are displayed perfectly. I would love a little snow. xo

Martina, your poinsettias are wonderful! I usually get the deep red ones; but, this year, I think it's going to be the creamy white!

I love them and just wish the leaves would not drop. Picmonkey is dangerous Martina. Your photos are pretty.

I do like poinsettias. I think they look best when done in groups. Yours look good since they are part of your decorating theme. I like the white ones myself, but when doing a traditional red and green colorscheme you can't go wrong with red!

Yes I like to use pointsettias in my decor, they provide a nice pop of color. I have not bought any yet....Down here in SC, I have seen them in planters outside on porches.....I actually like a mixture of colors, pink and white speckled, red and white.........

I'm usually partial to red,
but this year
I received a white one
as a gift.
You know it's Christmas time when the Poinsettias come out.

Hi Martina, Oh I love Poinsettias too, and yours are beautiful. I love what you did with the snow. Great photos to start and the snow adds a great effect. Think I'll go play there too this evening. I can't believe you already have snow. Woo Hoo!!!!

My husband loves poinsettias. I think the problem for me is that I don't have the exterior windows to place them in so they droop pretty quickly. When we lived in FL they grew wild around our house-clear up to the window sills along one side. xo Diana

They look so pretty in your decor, Martina! Last year I bought my mom one that was a pale creamy peach color, it was beautiful.

I like red and white. I got red ones for .99 cents on Black Friday at Lowes(the only store I entered). Your snow both real and faux is lovely.

Hi Martina,
I use to buy them but then never knew what to do with them after Christmas. Now I stick to Paper Whites and Amaryllis. Poinsettias definately say Christmas. Yours looks so pretty with picmonkey dusting of snow. Picmonkey is too much fun! Love, love your pillow!

Lots of inspiration!

Hi Martina,
Yes, I am a very traditional & love red poinsettias the best. The one in the wire & burlap lined basket is perfect. I have yet to by mine, soon though, next on my list!
All the Best,

I like the red and white ones too!

I am in the FAN of poinsettias corner. I've got them everywhere. I am in the opposite corner for snow.

Very pretty photos, love those snowflakes. And your red poinsettias add such beautiful color to your rooms. With our young dog we will have to pass on them this year but I'll miss them! Leslie (Gwen Moss)

It's funny, I used to hate poinsettias, but then I learned to like them, and now I love them! But only during the holidays! I especially like the newer white and pink ones. Costco has gigantic red ones now for $15. I bought two for my entry!

I like the pink ones, but I haven't had any for quite some time. They look wonderful in your home and you used all the perfect touches to make them look their best.

Wonderful Martina! Moving from California to Michigan the first year I went to place my poinsettias outside on the porch. My neighbors laughed at me! LOL, how was I supposed to know that they would die right away? Now, I safely keep them inside! Yours are lovely!

Jane@Cottage at the Crossroads said...

Martina, I noticed the snow in your header immediately, and then you showed the pic of the real snow that you had. I live in SC and we do not get much snow so I'm fascinated by it. Your poinsettias are beautifully displayed around your lovely home. I usually get the red ones, but today I saw some gorgeous red and white speckled ones. May go with those!

Hi Martina! I see it's still snowing on your poinsettias! :) Thanks for popping in to see me.

Your poinsettias look beautiful.

I love them and have a few live plants in the house during Christmas. Just bought the first of the season last night at Lowe's. They have pothos planted around them. Love that added green.

Ann from On Sutton Place said...

I saw a poinsettia at the grocery a few days ago that was red and white combined. I should have bought it! Thanks for the mention about the little pillow cover too. Love the new header changes...have a good week!
