Silver & Lavender

I'm in the process of adding a few new things to our powder room and I found this cute silver tray in a local antique shop a few weeks ago.

I love the look of tarnished silver, but this is yellowing so I'm going to polish it up.

Added a lavender bunch and one of my little jars. I even filled the jar with all the loose lavender that was at the bottom of the wrapping, wish I had a little more.
Come on back in a few days and I'll show you a few more new things in here.
Thanks so much for stopping by, your sweet comments make my day!

Good Morning Martina, I have just picked and dried my lavender from the garden. I wish I could send you what you need, but from England I don't think it would travel too well. Your silver tray is a perfect size and so pretty. Enjoy your day, Best Wishes Daphne

What a great tray, Martina! The perfect size for a bathroom. The lavender bundle looks great laying across it like that. I know it might be strange to say, but I'll bet it smells great in your bathroom! : )

I love how that looks! I prefer polished silver myself. That bottle is beautiful as well.

Love it. I have a similar bottle with lavender bath oil. Maybe you could test boil a small amount of water with the leftover flowers and get a hint of color and fragrance. Even some food coloring to be a hint of some coloring and add it to the flowers. Enjoyed your post! ~Jen

great tray! I love silver trays. My Mom (a thrifting maniac) just brought me 6 adorable silver trays. I can't wait to find homes for them all. I will need to borrow your lavender idea =)

I love finding silver pieces and this looks so great in your powder room. I think you have just the right amount of lavender, but if you want more you can order it on ebay! Seriously!

Jane

Oh, I love your new tray. Beautiful addition. Shame about the yellowing, because tarnishing is just so lovely. Thanks for sharing, liz

My friend makes lavender sachets that she gives as little gifts. You should hear the oohs... and ahhs... when they land in someone's hand! So I can imagine you did the same thing with your bunch of lavendar! And nothing beats a vintage silver tray. Lovely vignette!
