A little "TWEAKING" in the Master

I know I just showed you guy's my master with the new spring bedding, but after all your help on what color to paint my lamps  I decided to go for it and paint them. I am so glad I did even the hubby noticed them right away and loved how they brightened the space right up! I even added some trim to the lamp shades (burned my thumb with the glue gun in the process, ouch!!) Let's go take a look....

                                               BEFORE

Here's a close up of the AFTER. I sprayed them with heirloom white and distressed them a little just to highlight the detail work on them. I also added a glaze.

                                Much better don't you think.

Added a white duvet at the foot of the bed which I've had for a few years.

Thanks for all your help & have a great weekend!! Can't wait to here from you:)  Martina

The other day when I was in Home Goods and bought the new pillows I also found these beauties! Love the patina on them and all the chippyness ( if that's even a word). Don't know where I'm going to display them just yet but I couldn't pass them up for $7.99 a piece.

Hey Martina...the lamps look pretty terrific painted white. Can you share what you used to trim the lampshades? I can't tell if it's ribbon or some sort of braiding? Almost the weekend and I'm telling you I can hardly wait! ~Ann

Hi Martina!
I love what you did with your lamps. They look great!
Do you need another set of lamps for somewhere else? I have taken urns and pieces like the items you found at HG and made them into lamps.
Those two would be great converted!

I got all excited when I saw that you had an update!! (We are all so weird, aren't we!?!) I thought, "Yeah! She did something with those lamps and is going to show us!" lol

I actually didn't want you to paint them, but I gotta say...they look AWESOME! Really nice redo and the trim is just the thing the shades needed. Thanks so much for following up and sharing it. :)

I have a very similar bedroom set. Not that you will ever see it on my blog because that would mean I would have to make the bed and pick up the clothes that are all over the floor! Your lamps look great!
