A Tray Makeover

Happy Wednesday everyone! Yesterday while browsing the clearance section of Hobby Lobby I came across this wooden tray. The size is great and I love how it looks like they put it together using old wooden recycled planks, not to mention the pretty iron handles. The finish is nice but of course I had plans to paint it!

                                   Close up of the inside.

Here it is now after some paint, a little sanding and some glazing.

I love how it looks now! Wasn't sure where I was going to use it so for now it's new home is on the kitchen table.

The rooster and small crock came from Home Goods and the vase and fill I bought  in Peir1 when I purchased the table and chairs from their.

Hope everyone is having a  great week filled with sunshine!! I always look forward to your visits!    Martina

Martina, I love, love, love how the tray turned out. I need to get me some glaze. I just use watered down burnt umber craft paint, but glaze gives a much better look. I have a tray that I need to paint. I better get to it. Kim
