Antiquing we shall go!

After the kids left for school this morning, the hubby and I took a little trip up north to this fabulous Antique shop. I predict I'll be making a lot more trips here!! We just bought a new computer and I'm on the hunt for an antique desk to transform.
Hyde Park, NY is a very old & quaint town with several antique stores.
Let's go take a look inside...

Loved just about everything in this booth.

I even found a booth that sold milk paint. Look at this next piece!

I was tempted to buy a bag, but I'll hold out and try Miss Mustard Seeds.
I'm so mad I didn't bring that chippy urn home with me. I'm going to make a trip back next week. I hope they still have it.

Well we found several desks but they wouldn't work in the place we want to put it, so the hunt continues! All I came home with today were a few vintage books :(
Thanks for coming along with me! Have a super weekend!

Hi Martina, I'm sorry you didn't find the desk but this store looks like one that hubby and I went to about 15 yrs ago. I just remember how reasonable the antiques were. Glad you had fun.
Have a great weekend.

Wow! Where exactly is this shop? My family makes it up to New York every summer. We usually have a few days in NYC and then we head out to a summer camp about 2 hours outside of the city. Wonder if there is any chance that I am close to that store?! The pictures had me drooling! Good luck with the hunt for a desk! Life to the full, Melissa
