I still can't believe it!! We wound up getting 11inchs of snow yesterday! It does look beautiful but it did a lot of damage because it was a heavy wet snow. We never lost power but a lot of people in the tri-state area did. It also caused a lot of trees to go down. We lost some big branches on a few of our trees and my next door neighbor lost two pear trees completely. It's sunny and in the upper 50's today so a lot of it is melting.
My poor trees!
It's so weird to see snow with Halloween decorations.
At least my pumpkin will defrost so we can carve it later! Have a great week and Happy Halloween!
A little peek at what I worked on last night. Come back later on for the reveal:)
We told our kids to remember this day because it is going to be the talk for a long time! Our area has never seen this much snow in October. The forecast said when this is all over we might have anywhere from 8 to 14 inches of heavy wet snow! You know what that means, power outages!
Looking out my front door.
We just cut the perennials down around this tree yesterday.
A little frost on the pumpkin, LITERALLY!
Looking off the back deck.
How's the weather where you are? Are you getting snow for Halloween? Wishing you all a safe and Happy Halloween!
We had a beautiful day here in NY, the temps were in the sixties! So after my son's baseball game I decided to take a little walk around our development, camera in hand of course! Our foliage wasn't the best this year due to all the rain we had last month. The colors are usually so bright and vibrant, but I did manage to get in a few pretty shots. These were all softened in Picnik.
Standing in my front yard looking across the street at my neighbors.
This one I was standing in my driveway looking at the neighbor to the left of me.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend filled with sunshine!

A new and improved look for my blog thanks to Kristin over at http://www.simplyklassicdesign.com/
When I started blogging 8 months ago, it was my 11yr old daughter who set my blog up for me!! I'm not computer savvy at all! All thought I must say since blogging I have learned a lot! I wanted a custom look and I knew if I tried doing it myself I would have DELETED my whole blog LOL! I've seen Kristin's work all over blogland and really liked her designs, so I contacted her and we got to work. Thank you Kristin for making my blog so pretty:o) I am still thinking about adding a background but right now I am loving the clean white look.
Have a great weekend friends and thanks for stopping by!!
