A new rug for the kitchen

Hi there friends...
I know I've only been posting once a week but summer calls and I'm enjoying time with my family:-)

~~~
I wanted to show you guys the new jute runner I bought for my kitchen after the wood floors were installed.
I love using a long runner in front of my sink and dishwasher...it keeps the floor clean and it prevents those dreaded water spots!
I even used one when we had the tile floor...here's a shot of the old one...
This time I ordered one with a black trim...I like the way it ties in with the black island.
The black hides spots too :-)
At 8ft. long it covers the whole area.
It also has a rubber backing which I thought would be great for keeping it in place...but that wasn't the case!
 So when I was contacted by the nice people at Rug Pad USA asking if I would like to try out one of there rug pads I said sure!
I chose the Superior Lock rug pad for hardwood floors...it has both a felt side and rubber side.
Let me tell you friends after adding this rug pad my rug does not move at all...love that!!
I also love that their pads are eco-friendly and made in the USA!
 They ship immediately so it arrives quickly too.
I loved this pad so much I just ordered another one just like it for the 8x10 area rug in my family room.
 If you're in the market for a rug pad I highly recommend checking out Rug Pad USA
*They're offering my readers 15% off there order...just enter code pr15off*
Thanks so much for stopping by have a super week!
  1. I have a few rugs like the one you just purchased, love them especially if you remember to get a darker trim like you did, otherwise the edge is dirty and ruins the look...glad to see you are back loved seeing your beautiful kitchen...come on over for a visit, I still have my forth of July setting up...lol
  8. This looks so great, Martina!! I have been seeing runners in kitchens in magazines for quite a while and I even had one in the sink area for while because I loved the color! This is so pretty and yes, a pad keeps it from sliding. Thanks for your ideas!
  11. Love those gorgeous floors, Martina. Wow! So warm and beautiful. The runner is great, too. Are you a mind reader or something? I was in the market for an 8x10 rug pad, and I just ordered one with your code. Thanks for knocking $25.19 off my order! I want a kitchen tour!
  12. Love the new rug, Martina. The black edging does tie in really well with your island. Great idea to have the rug down for drips.
  13. Never thought of a jute rug in the kitchen. Yours looks wonderful. I have a thick rug foam from Costco it's easy on the back.
  25. Love the runner in your kitchen (which is beautiful, BTW). I have a similar rug underneath the table and chairs in my kitchen. The only problem I have with it, is that it stains easily (I have cats and one of them has thrown up on it a few times!) and the stains are really hard to get out of jute/sisal.
  30. What a great looking kitchen. The look of the rug actually suits the look of the kitchen more than I would have thought. My wife wanted to do something similar and I have to give it to her she really made a good choice. I will for sure be doing this to our kitchen soon. Thank you for this again.
