I was going to totally change the look of my coffee table and tv console, I even talked it over with my friend Yvonne at Stone Gable because I love the way she transformed her new buffet!
Well I decided to keep them Coco (Annie Sloan chalk paint) but they did get a little face lift.
This picture below is the BEFORE shot...
and here is the AFTER. I gave the whole table a fresh coat of Coco and then did a wash using Old White. After that dried it was waxed with both the clear and dark wax.
After that was done I moved on to the tv console. This first shot is the BEFORE. You can see the inside of the panels had quite a bit of Old White dry brushed on them...not anymore. I wasn't diggin it anymore, so I brushed a little Coco over them and waxed it with just the clear wax.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love it!! It is amazing how a little paint can totally refresh a room. The room looks great.. V
Pretty color, the update looks really nice!

Nothing in the past 24 hours to share! ;)
Perfect changes Martina!Great technique! The question is not what I have painted but what am I about to paint LOL! You know me always a paint brush in my hand.I have lots of pieces ready for a transformation! Will be sharing soon!
Anne
I love it, great colour and both pieces look fabulous!!! I'm with you, paint brush keeps coming out over and over again...
I love the update. Just a little change went a long way. Great job.
Little freshening never hurts. They look great. Oh, you know I am painting without even telling you.
A little tweaking here and there...I love how the chairs on each side of the console seem to pop. It looks like a little orange pops from the gray on the console.
I haven't got adventurous enough to paint my great room table...but one day....you will see.
Martina, that looks great!! Love the fresh new look!
You inspire me to take out my paint brush....
Sometimes those little changes are all you need, Martina! I have plans to paint the armoire in our guest room. Just as soon as I get a can of Old White. Painting a corner curio in our living room has been popping back into my mind lately, too. I would probably do Old White on that as well, so at least I'd get my monies worth out of the can. : )
I love it! I started painting my living room walls yesterday and I do plan to paint my coffee table also but can't decide on what color!!!
Very nice! It's amazing what just a slight change in paint can make and refreshen a piece! :)
Subtle but beautiful differences Martina.Nice updates. Alas I have not painted anything of late... been busy house hunting with the younger generation.
Hugs, Gee
Beautiful! You did a great job.
It was just the touch they needed! They look wonderful.
Whatever you do is just beautiful, Martina, and this is no exception...Christine
Your painting is always so well done, Martina. I have not painted anything. I really like darker woods and am always afraid that the painted furniture trend will cease and I cannot undo my work. LOL!!! I do love one piece of painted furniture in a room though. It makes things interesting! xo
I like both pieces better with their fresh coats on them. They look updated and fresh. I desperately need to get some things painted- xo Diana
Looks great!
you are a painting machine...I actually have a few painting projects that I really need to finish...
It's beautiful, Martina! I've still never used this kind of paint. Does the waxing keep it from scratching and f leaking?
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hi Martina,
So refreshing!
Love that Coco colour...you have a magic paintbrush!
All the Best,
Christine
Subtle changes, and they look beautiful! You did a great job!
Sometimes the litte things can make a big difference! I think the freshening you've given your furniture looks wonderful!
Martina, you do such a nice job with your paintbrush!
Your tables look so pretty.

I love both pieces, and I really like that they aren't so distressed or shabby looking. Beautiful redo's. Thanks for joining The Scoop. Hugs, Marty
They look so beautiful Martina and where oh where did you get that fabulous basket tray on top of your coffee table? I want one! :-)
Vanessa

It's nice to give things a face lift...both pieces turned out great!
Martina, I Love the color. Both pieces turned out beautiful. What a fresh look it gives them. I'm going to get this color for a piece I want to paint, this is exactly what I've been looking for,,, Thanks for sharing.
It looks beautiful! Life to the full, Melissa
They both look great, sometimes that is all a piece needs! Great job on them!
Both pieces look amazing! You really did a beautiful job. That color is really pretty!
Martina both look fabulous!!!! Hugs P.S. I invite you to share your beautiful makeovers at the Thursday hop
Hi Martina, I need to pain my interior. We painted outside a few years back. I have a piece of furniture I would love to paint but with a long must do list of projects it probably won’t happen anytime soon. It’s a small chest with iron hutch in the back foyer. It’s stained now and I would love to get some Annie Sloan on it. Maybe a good project for next fall. I love the subtle changes you made to your coffee table and console. Coco is a great color. I really like the vignette on the coffee table, gorgeous basket. Love the PB vase. Your home is beautiful!!! I’m always inspired when I visit you.......

I really love how those turned out! I like the added dry brushed technique. I used that on my grey pieces in my family room too. It really helped to give it a layer look.
When you figure out what is causing you to not be able to put down the paintbrush let me know because I can't seem to pick one up lately.
Bliss
Both pieces look fantastic, Coco is one of my favorites in ASCP.
Cynthia
beautiful, I love the color. I am not able to get the Anne Sloan chalk paint in my area. I have to make a trip some where in Long Island to the only agent that has it on the island I am stuck with out it. Great job
Beverly
The color is just beautiful on both pieces Martina! I've been a little slow with getting my painting done...maybe because I have a ton of it. Better off to break it down into smaller projects so I don't feel so overwhelmed! I applaud your drive in getting all of that painting done...what ever you are taking, eating, drinking I want some!!!
XO Barbara
Believe it or not I have painted a coffee table black (to sell). But I may not show it on the blog. You know I am shy. Right? Love the colors on these pieces.
They look great Martina, CoCo is such a pretty color. I'm going to have to try chalk paint one day.
Do you sleep with your paint brush? I cannot believe all the projects you have completed. Love the new look - the colors are great.
That CoCo is a fabulous color! And I love the muted tones in that room! Beautiful and cozy.

Both of those pieces are beautiful! You've made them even more lovely. Your living room is very pretty.
Hi Martina, I love the new makeover on the not so old makeovers!!! They do look veddy, veddy nice! Love the big basket on your coffee table - the whole room is pretty.
Rhonda
They look beautiful, Martina. I have a bench I need to paint, with Old White. If only it would look as good yours!
I love the color! Of course I have been a fan of Coco for a while....so versatile!
Come for a visit....

You have such a way with paint - just beautiful!!
I love the paint - first time I have seen that color used and I love it! Your family room is so warm and inviting! Hope you can stop by the enchanted oven for a visit.

I LIke what you did. Coco is a great color. I painted a wooden tote w/French Linen & Old White. Oh, I love the basket & PB pottery - I have them, too! Linda
Those pieces turned out amazing!....LOVE the color choice...one of my favorites!!
xo, Mariaelena
It seems I'm always painting. Most recently, I gave a side table in our keeping room a makeover by painting the top graphite, then adding a lot of dark wax. Bye-bye water stains, hello fabulous.
Love your transformations. I'm always seeing new chalk paint colors I need to try. I think I need every color!
Beautiful pieces in a great color!
Martina, awesome job and I am loving that color. Gorgeous!!!
