To me nothing says Spring like blooming forsythias!! It's still a bit to cold here in NY so my forsythias haven't bloomed yet, so I had to substitute with the next best thing ( faux)!! Today I decided it was time to change out my winter wreath that I had on the front door to my spring one. Even though it still feels like winter (ugh)! Maybe this will help bring the warmer weather!! Let's take a look!
I've had this wreath for a few years. I bought it from a home decor shop that is now out of business :(
This was the one I had up all winter. I bought it in Hobby Lobby before Christmas at 50% off!
What's your favorite spring flower? Can't wait to here from you! Martina

Somebody stop me now!! I just love how everything looks lighter and brighter now that I can't seem to STOP painting things. I walk around the house looking for things I can paint, and I know I 'm not alone on this guys, right! The pictures hanging over my bed were the latest victim's.
Here's how they looked before. Pretty but blended in with the wall color to much.
So I used this in my new favorite color heirloom white.
Here's the after.
They really stand out now. I did just a little distressing on the detailed part of the frame.
Here's a closer look.
I love how they look now!
Couldn't stop there, this is another frame in my room that hangs over the hubby's dresser.
My husbands aunt gave this to us when we were married. It's a marriage blessing from Pope John Paul II.
You can see the original color of the frame where I distressed it. This one I added some mocha glaze to.
Well that's it for now, until I find another victim (LOL)!!

Today I am joining Debbie for her "Color my World Party"!! Make sure you head over to check out all the great spray paint transformations!!
I LOVE the color red and I LOVE roosters, so let's go and check out Mr. Roo's makeover!
I found this cute metal rooster last year in Hobby Lobby and put it out on the front porch. The dark brown color blended in too much with the house. Nothing a little colonial red spray paint can't fix!
This is Mr. Roo this year. He stands out so much better now.
Paint is a wonderful thing, don't you think!
Have a great weekend everyone, I appreciate and look forward to all your comments, Martina

Well first I thought I would show all of you what we woke up to this morning! Come on mother nature it's spring! Thankfully it was all melted by this afternoon.
OK onto the Dining Room, after seeing so many of you guy's lightning things up it looked so beautiful I decided I wanted to do the same in my dining room. I just love all the inspiration you get from blogging! I painted the walls the same color I have in my living room & hallway. The paint color is soft camel by Valspar in eggshell finish.
Here's a before picture
Then it went to this. Painted below the chair rail white and added the picture molding. But couldn't stop here!
And here's the after
Oh how I'm loving the lighter version thanks to all the great inspiration!
In this picture you can see our pool trying to thaw out.
Wanted to show you the pretty details on this lamp. I am thinking of cutting to beads off the shade, what do you think?
My little touch of spring in the dining room.
When I took a break from rolling I would run to the garage to use these so I would be ready for Debbie's "Color my world Party"!! For those of you who don't know about it click her button on my sidebar and you can check it out! I think my family is ready to commit me LOL!!
Would love to here what you think of the dining room. Did you like the gold better or the new lighter version! I love reading your comments, Martina

Here's a little peek at what I've been up to. Guess I caught the "BUG" from Kim over at Savvy Southern Style!!
Boy it must be pretty contagious to travel almost 900 miles (LOL)!
Hopefully the dining room will be back together by tomorrow and I can show you the new lighter and brighter version! Stay tuned, Martina
This is my son Will's room, my little man will be 9 in May. I really wanted to do something fun in here for him, since it always seems like I'm tweaking the girls rooms!! We painted his room about 5 years ago the color is Ben. Moore nantucket fog. I love the blue/gray color of his room and believe it or not the walls stayed in good condition! So I decided to add a striped accent wall near his bed. The color of the stripe is Ben. Moore newburyport blue. He LOVED how it made his room look so of course it put a smile on my face!
The poster size picture over his bed is him playing soccer last year. My husband had it made up for him and we gave it to him at Christmas. ( I think it was his favorite gift )!! He's been playing since the age of 4 and loves it! He also loves to play baseball.
He shares a jack & jill bathroom with my youngest daughter.
ooops forgot to put the other sheet on to cover the boxspring, must of been in a rush that day! I'll do a post of the whole room soon I want to paint one of his dressers first.
Hope everyone had a great weekend! And as always I love hearing from you! Martina
