After painting the mirror I decided to hang it on the wall instead of reattaching it to the dresser, I think it looks nicer this way.
Can't wait for my paint to arrive so I can get started on that armoire!
Again, I used AS chalk paint in Pure White and then applied the clear wax. I went a little heavier with the distressing on this piece then I did on the dresser.
Now it looks complete! We're not going to add any accessories until after the room is painted, seeing we would only have to put them away.
Mackenzie loves the new look and can't wait for me to get started on the next piece!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

It looks gorgeous! I love the look of these pieces painted, what a difference! She must be so happy, what a sweet mom you are to do this for her :)
xo, Andrea
the mirror really brings the whole piece together. I like the heavier distressing on the mirror as well. Great job on those!
The mirror looks very pretty painted white, Martina! I'm not looking forward to doing the actual painting on an armoire I've got on the painting list. It's a big piece of furniture! I am looking forward to the outcome though. Can't wait to see yours!
Has my vote!! Beautiful!!
It's lovely Martina. It's amazing the difference a coat of paint will make, isn't it? Can't wait to see what else you do with the room. Have a great day!
Debbie
It looks really pretty! I agree with you, the mirror look better on the wall than attached to the dresser. The room is going to be so beautiful!!
Looks gorgeous Martina!! What color are you painting the armoire? This room is beautiful! I have a mirror I need to paint too.... :)
Kristi
You really transformed this, Martina! I love it. You are so busy...keep up the good work, we love seeing it!
XO,
Jane
What a great piece, Martina! I too like it hung on the wall--- the unexpected is always best.xo
The mirror looks lovely painted and a little distressed-compliments the dresser nicely! Your daughter must be so excited!
Great job on both pieces...love the mirror on the wall too!
I like it a lot better wall mounted, too, Martina. It looks just gorgeous- I hope your paint arrives soon- xo Diana
Much, much better! Cannot wait to see how you accessorize!

The mirror is gorgeous, you've done an amazing job on the dresser and the mirror!
I'm not surprised that your girl loves it, what girl wouldn't.
Hugs, Cindy
Looking good, Martina and I agree about hanging it instead of attaching it to the dresser.
That looks just beautiful! I love the pop of pink that peeks through!!!! What a lucky girl to have such a talented mama!
thanks for sharing,
gena

Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
It is very pretty distressed and in white Martina.
looks great!
It's coming along Martina!
You really did a great job...perfect amount of distressing. I am loving the pure white.
Love the mirror hanging on the wall. You're really painting up a storm!

Just beautiful Martina...as usual! Can't wait to see your next piece!!!
XO Barbara
Another lovely piece, Martina!
Hi Martina! Everything just gets prettier and prettier. Love the mirror!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
That's a great look. Isn't white paint just the best invention??? It doesn't even have to be chalk paint. Just good old fashioned white paint does the trick every time. I, in fact, need to buy some more white trim paint. I'm all out since I used it on several furniture pieces last year. LOL!
This is such a pretty mirror, Martina. And it really pops now that it is white! So sweet!
Martina, what a beautiful and professional job. I have not used the "chalk paint" as of yet....looking forward too. Thanks for posting your end result of a beautiful new mirror Blessings, Karen ...A Cape Cod Nest.
Looks beautiful Martina!

Anne
I like it better on the wall too! You're crossing things off that list left and right :-)
So pretty Martina and I too like it on the wall...great choice!
Blessings,
Cindy
You really make it appear so easy with your
presentation but I to find this topic to be really one
thing
that I feel I would by no means understand. It seems too complicated and extremely large for
me. I am
taking a look ahead to your next
publish, I’ll attempt to get the cling of it!

Looks great Martina! Can't wait to see when you're all done with her room. Enjoy your day, Gail
Martina, Beautiful mirror with such detail and placed perfectly! Enjoying your blog!
The Pure White looks so crisp on those traditional pieces! Nice job. I can never wait to put the accessories back. I just can't!!
I'm painting with AS right now, and you've just convinced me to distress a bit more. I really love how this mirror looks Martina. Especially hung on the wall.

Good looking makeover...I like it hanging :)

Linda
Love the mirror...I had an old one and got rid of it years ago and I sooo regret that :( come link up to centerpiece Wed. Karin
It's really a nice mirror and the distressing is so beautiful it brings out all the details!
I love the white makeovers. I have an old dark dresser and mirror that could use the same and I'm considering it. I'm a new reader and am enjoying your blog.
The mirror look great! I LOVE Annie Sloan chalk paint! Life to the full, Melissa
Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year
old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the
shell to her ear and
screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is
entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

What a beautiful job of painting. I have not the nerve to take on such a project but OH how I wish I did. I love white..and have it in my living room but afraid to paint the two curio cabinets.
You've inspired me..but I am so afraid I will mess it up.
Wow, amazing job. well done. Looks great. Can't wait to see the whole room come together. Thanks for sharing, liz
