A Quick & Easy Fix

Somebody stop me now!! I just love how everything looks lighter and brighter now that I can't seem to STOP  painting things. I  walk around the house looking for things I can paint, and I know I 'm not alone on this guys, right! The pictures hanging over my bed were the latest victim's.

Here's how they looked before. Pretty but blended in with the wall color to much.

So I used this in my new favorite color heirloom white.

                                        Here's the after.

They really stand out now. I did just a little distressing on the detailed part of the frame.

                                       Here's a closer look.

I love how they look now!

Couldn't stop there, this is another frame in my room that hangs over the hubby's dresser.

My husbands aunt gave this to us when we were married. It's a marriage blessing from Pope John Paul II.

You can see the original color of the frame where I distressed it. This one I added some mocha glaze to.

Well that's it for now, until I find another victim (LOL)!!

Hi Girlfriend...

Ohhh...love the small changes that you made! But you are absolutely right...sometimes the small changes can have a big impact! I love the white mats on your bedroom pictures! They stand out so much more on that wall color now...simply beautiful, my friend! And...I love the added paint and distressing that you added to the other frame...just perfect! Thank you for sharing your pretties with us...love the changes!

Warmest wishes,
Chari

PS...I also took a peek at your last post. Love, love, LOVE your red rooster! I need one of those! Wouldn't it look cute for a table centerpiece vignette with those new gray hen dishes that I just did a post about?

Love it! I am totally addicted to paint (especially spray paint), too! It's taken all the fun out of "Honey, guess what I'm gonna do with this!" when he knows now: "Let me guess, spray paint?" :-)

I'm a new visitor & follower from Debbiedoos Newbie party.

I really like the way those frames stand out on your wall color. I used a similar color in our bedroom. I'm going to look around and see if I can paint some frames because I really like how yours turned out. I'm coming over from Debbie's party and I'm a new follower.

These frames turned out to be beautiful. I'm afraid to pick up a paintbrush and try it for fear that I will also get addicted. And I already have too much on my plate! (Hmmm, can you paint plates?)

Great new look. The frames look lovely against your wall color. What is the name of your wall color? Distressing is almost always a plus, at least to me! I'm already following you, so if you aren't following back, please do.

Yep, there it is heirloom white. I go through cases of it since i have a booth and use tons. I also took the cap and had them mix me a quart so I could use it on big projects. I usually do a top coat of spray though or use the spray and the paint if something has scroll legs, I will do the legs in spray and then roll on the matching paint...I think this comes under To much information LOL!
