Freshening up the Front Stoop

 Hi there friends... 
Are you all ready for Easter tomorrow?
I can finally say I am...
Groceries are bought...baking is done...tables are set...house is cleaned!!
Now I couldn't forget about our front entrance...you know what they say about first impressions ;-) 
It was looking pretty drab after this long winter we have had...it was in need of some freshening up.

 The last few days has been in the 60's here...so yesterday when I was in Home Depot I saw these pretty palm plants for $10 each and knew they would be perfect for the new metal planters I just bought for near the front door. 
Once the weather warms up I want to replace them with ferns.
 I made a new wreath for the door a few weeks ago.
 And bought a new rug from overstock.
  Now my front stoop is ready to welcome our guests!

    Very welcoming, Martina! I'm also waiting for it to warm up (probably Mother's Day weekend) to get a fern for our front door urn. I'm hoping the geraniums I got for now will hold up until then. I think since we have a covered area it might help. If they do make it I will just replant them. I do like having a fern near our front door.
