Hey there friends...hope your all having a great week!
We hit 50 degrees today:)
We hit 50 degrees today:)
The piece that I'm showing you today does not belong to me...I worked on this piece for one of my cousins.
She had this table in her downstairs family room.
She had this table in her downstairs family room.
It was pretty beat up...she was going to get rid of it until I told her we can make it pretty again with a little paint.
Here's the before...
She decided on black so I used my Masion Blanche paint in Wrought Iron again and then just clear waxed it. I lightly distressed all the edges.
Soooooo much better right!
It just goes to show how much paint can transform a piece no matter what the condition...and make it pretty again.
One more before and after...
She loves the way it came out and she's so happy she didn't get rid of it!

ReplyDeleteWhat a transformation. You turned an ugly table into a great piece that anyone would want to have in their home. I haven't used Maison Blanche. Is it a chalk paint like Annie Sloan?

ReplyDeleteOh I can see why she loves it as it is beautiful...just love it...you did a fantastic job Martina...Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhen it hits 50 degrees here I might just go out to the garage and paint a table! Won't be anytime soon I'm afraid, so it's a good thing I don't have a friends table to get done.
ReplyDeleteLook great Martina! Black was a good choice!!
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me to see before and after shots of ugly ducklings. You did a beautiful job on the piece.
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference Martina! You see these style of tables at the thrift stores often for a song and this is a great idea for giving them a new life. Yours caught my eye over at the Furniture Feature Friday Party.

I had that exact table, back around 1988! It went perfectly with our massive sectional sofa and brass accessories. I was only too glad to get rid of it about ten years ago but now I'm wishing I could just give it a makeover. I never knew that tacky table had potential! Excellent job!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what a little paint can do!
