Hey Friends...Happy Wednesday!
I found a great new lamp online at Kirklands for the skirted table in our family room. It has a great wooden base and I love the pretty burlap shade that came with it.
I usually find a lamp that I love with a great base but don't like the shade that comes with it and wind up changing it to a different one. Not this time!
The base has a pretty distressed finish.
Here's a close up of the burlap shade
I love a change...don't you!

The title says it all!
My good friend Ann from the blog On Sutton Place made me these fabulous grain sack cushions for the bar stools in my kitchen.
Ann does such beautiful work... I love the way they look!
She even made me this slip and seat cushion along with the matching pillow for the chair in my sitting room.
Love them...Thank You Ann!

Hi Friends...remember the french ticking curtains I bought for my living room in green? Well I loved them so much I had to have them for my dining room in red too! Love these curtains from Country Curtains!
Here's a close up...I love how they look layered with the woven shades.
I also added a sisal rug in here.
My poor orchard:( I just lost the flowers, they lasted for almost 3 months. I was going to throw it out but a friend told me it will eventually bloom again. Let's see if I have the patience to wait!
Now I have my eye on a new chandelier. One change always leads to another!

Hi Friends...I wanted to share the little change I made to the shelf in my powder room recently. I found this cute picture on a recent trip to HomeGoods along with the three little topiaries.
The topiaries actually came in that wire basket you see below.
Here's what the shelf looked like before...
It's always fun changing things up.
Thanks for stopping by...have a super week!

I figured I better show you how our front stoop looks before it gets changed up for the fall...which by the way I don't do until the end of September.
I decided on leaving the door plain after I had to fix it from the damage my magnetic hook left :( good thing I still had some paint left! I also bought a new rug from Ballards, it's similar to the one I had there before.
I just bought this two tiered planter at a local nursery for $30. I thought that was a steal considering it's size.
I know the fern is called asparagus fern but I can't remember the name of the other plant. I love how it cascades over the sides.
My concrete bunny is sitting just waiting to greet you :)
I added more of the asparagus fern to my concrete urn.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a super weekend!

Hey friends I'm back...I can't believe it's been 3 months since I last posted!! I really missed everyone! I was on a much needed break, I started to feel burned out and I felt like I wasn't giving my family 100%...can't have that now!
I can't THANK YOU guys enough for all the sweet e-mails you've sent me checking up to see if everything was ok, that really touched me!
I also got myself back in shape again...I've been walking 3 miles a day and feel great! I'm not going to let that change. OK enough of my blabbering...let's take a look at this quick and easy makeover!
Here's the before... I gave it this look a few years ago.
Love this fabric, I bought it at Hobby Lobby.
Didn't even need to whip out a paint brush, just used my sanding block and gave it that worn look.
See my new grain sack pillow, it was made for me by my friend Ann Sutton Place Designs
it goes perfect with this chair. Ann made me more new pillows for this room that I'll be showing you guys soon.
And here is the newest addition to our family...meet Neena! She's going to be 5 months old! We adopted her in May from North Shore Animal League in Long Island, NY.
She's a sweetie, we love her to pieces! I'll do a full post on her soon.
She's finishing up her bone in this pic.
It feels so good to be back!!
Thanks for stopping by!
