Adding a little Cheetah print to a footstool

Hey friends I'm back...I can't believe it's been 3 months since I last posted!! I really missed everyone! I was on a much needed break, I started to feel burned out and I felt like I wasn't giving my family 100%...can't have that now!
I can't THANK YOU guys enough for all the sweet e-mails you've sent me checking up to see if everything was ok, that really touched me!
I also got myself back in shape again...I've been walking 3 miles a day and feel great! I'm not going to let that change. OK enough of my blabbering...let's take a look at this quick and easy makeover!
Here's the before... I gave it this look a few years ago.
Love this fabric, I bought it at Hobby Lobby.
Didn't even need to whip out a paint brush, just used my sanding block and gave it that worn look.

See my new grain sack pillow, it was made for me by my friend Ann Sutton Place Designs
it goes perfect with this chair. Ann made me more new pillows for this room that I'll be showing you guys soon.

And here is the newest addition to our family...meet Neena! She's going to be 5 months old! We adopted her in May from North Shore Animal League in Long Island, NY.
She's a sweetie, we love her to pieces! I'll do a full post on her soon.
She's finishing up her bone in this pic.
It feels so good to be back!!

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. It was so good to see your post today, Martina! I was just thinking about you this morning, too, wondering if the kids go back to school soon and you'd be back. : ) Love this little footstool. They are so great for makeovers like this. I changed one I had by repainting the base last week. A subtle change but enough for me to notice.
