Here's a close up...I love how they look layered with the woven shades.
I also added a sisal rug in here.
My poor orchard:( I just lost the flowers, they lasted for almost 3 months. I was going to throw it out but a friend told me it will eventually bloom again. Let's see if I have the patience to wait!
Now I have my eye on a new chandelier. One change always leads to another!

Those look great, Martina. I have curtains from CC and have been really happy with them. There's a room upstairs that I'm about to tackle and have been trying to decide about curtains. Thought I had my mind made up but you are changing it. :)
ReplyDeleteHow pretty Martina, I just love those curtains, they are perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove your new drapes....they are beautiful!!! Your whole dining room looks so gorgeous :o)

The curtains look great and your friend was right, don't throw that orchid out! Just keep doing the same thing you did to keep the blooms for 3 months and it will bloom again. I have had the same orchids for 15 years and they keep blooming after a resting period!
ReplyDeleteThose french ticking curtains look so pretty in there! I don't blame you for getting more. The sisal rug is classic and looks to be a good size in there. Great additions!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love those curtains. Love the red. I wish they came in longer lengths. Too short for where I want to use them. Love the rug, too.
ReplyDeleteYour dining room looks so pretty with the addition of the new curtains and rug! I'm sure your orchid will bloom again...
ReplyDeleteLuv the curtains Martina. Hahaha.. the domino effect of decorating. I luv it.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Gee
They are really nice looking curtains, Martina! Why not get another pair for another room when you like them that much. I have to find something for our home office. For the warmer months I put up sheers, but I need something other than the living room drapes {from Ballards} that were in the living room in our old house, that I had in here temporarily.
ReplyDeleteLove the curtains, they look wonderful and so does the rug. Great additions to your room. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYour new curtains are great!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing, when I find something I like I have to have it in another color. I have the buffalo check curtains in red, yellow, and black.
ReplyDeleteMartina, love your drapes too and the rug works will. Have you considered painting your chairs? They would look great painted in this space! Then do a red stripe down the cushions that you would upholster in drop cloth! Yea, I know, I am making more work for you!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved Country Curtains, they wear so well and look so good with the shades. Where did you purchase your rug? I'm looking for one for where my desk is.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your curtains with the woven shades!
ReplyDeleteI think I've used Country Curtains off and on ever since we've been married. They're such good quality at a reasonable price.

ticking and sisal go so well together. I love where you're going with this...
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Love the texture!

I love those curtains, Martina. They look great in your room. Yes-your poor, poor orchid. I have never had luck with them reblooming....lol I think I lack patience, too- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI like the curtain in that space, and I love the chandelier in there too...even if you are thinking about changing it. As far as orchids...well, I seem to kill any plant I get my hands on. My dad has a green thumb...and he talks to plants. no, he is not crazy :)
ReplyDeleteThe new curtains look fabulous. I love CC. Great store. Perfect for your room.
ReplyDeleteVery french those draperies! I think its a perfect change!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Martina! I love your draperies and the rug is perfect!

ReplyDeleteI love your blinds! I have those verticals and they are terrible, old, and beginning to break. After looking at your blinds I am all inspired now to copy! They are beautiful..just beautiful
ReplyDeleteI have the tiny red gingham drapes (County Fair print) I had made several years ago and they are all lined and lovely so I would just need the blinds. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I love, love, love your style of decorating!!

Love this look! My orchid did the same and I'm just leaving it to see if it flowers again.

ReplyDeleteLove your striped curtains. I'd love some for my breakfast room. I don't have much patience with getting orchids to rebloom, either. I may try with the one I have now, but they're so inexpensive, I'll probably just buy another.
ReplyDeleteI just got their catalog and turned down the page for these curtains...love them! They look wonderful in your room.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sherry
Your new curtains look amazing! It lets in ample light for your dining area during the day and you could just pull them together for a private dinner. Indeed, curtains contribute in setting the mood of your house's interior, and yours is very cozy and warm. Thanks for sharing! :)
