Layers & Texture on the Mantel

 Hi there friends...
I hope you all had a great weekend!
During Christmas I had that "ping" go off in my brain again!!
It told me to have a mirror added to this frame.
This is the frame I use at Christmas to hang a wreath in.
I love the detail work on this frame and thought it's too pretty to be stored away for another 11 months.
So after Christmas I took it to a local glass place and had them add a mirror to it.
I also took down the scones that you see hanging in the photo below...I've had them hanging here since we moved in 12 years ago.
I'm planning on having electric ones installed in the near future.
 How it looked at Christmas...

I added the eucalyptus back to my ginger jars...found the old oil painting while out antiquing...added one of my round wicker chargers...and in front of that a pretty brass blue and white candleholder I picked up at a flea market.
Love the patina on this frame.

Thanks so much for stopping by...
Have a great week!

  12. Love the mirror Martina! It's great to change things around a little isn't it? I am wanting to switch out a cabinet I have in the entry with one I have in the bedroom. The entry one has been there for 5 years Not so sure hubby is going to want to tackle this. After all, we're not getting any younger. lol!
