~Antique Green~

I love green so using Benjamin Moore's "Boreal Forest" and antiquing glaze these frames went from this.....
 To this....
I left the inner part gold and just brushed over it with a little glaze. Sorry for the glare, the sun was steaming in my dining room windows when I took these.
Now I couldn't just stop on these, so I took a little walk around the corner and did these too. On these two I dry brushed a little AS Old White on the details.
My mom and dad brought the angel back from Italy for me.
A little bit of paint can make such a big impact. I love the change!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week!

  1. Oh, the Benjamin Moore's "Boreal Forest" color really accents the colors in the pictures. LOVE the color and that you glazed the outer edge of the frame and left the gold on the inner part. Still wonderfully traditional but with a great new "kick". I'm going to "borrow" your idea and glaze my gold frames. Thanks for the inspiration.

  26. You've really transformed the frames, I love the green on them. Simply brushing the old white has made the second set of frames really pretty, I hadn't thought of doing that.
    Have a lovely day, Martina.

  39. I painted some frames two weeks ago and they are still in the garage, something just wasn't right about them. I'm thinking maybe brushing on some AS white might help.
