Building a Leprechaun Trap

You heard me right, we spent this weekend building a trap to catch a leprechaun! This week is the science fair at our school. We've been working non stop with my older two for weeks on their projects and then there is the written report to go with it! Then I get a letter home saying that the kindergarten class is going to participate in this too and they have to build a leprechaun trap. WHAT, are you kidding me. What the heck is a leprechaun trap!?! You wouldn't believe all the images that popped up when I Googled it. I have to tell you, after all the work we did with our other two I was SO OVER science projects! But, after seeing the excitement in Victoria's eyes while we were working on this I didn't want it to end!! Now here's Victoria's version of a leprechaun trap.

Now I would like to introduce you to the designer, creator, entrepreneur, and leprechaun catcher extraordinaire...
She is so proud of her project! We had the best time working on this together!
Hope your all having a great weekend!

  8. How adorable! That trap looks like it will do the trick. I like how she added the rainbow and the shamrock garland. The sign up top is perfect. She did a great job.

  9. Well, she is just a cute little elf herself! How sweet is that. I believe in leprechauns and grew up in an Irish community. Our neighbor was always sure they were around hiding his glasses and stuff...and so, I became a firm believer. I think that catcher/box might just do the trick. xo Diana

  10. That is so cute Martina! As is your daughter. I remember years ago when my oldest was in Kindergarten, and they had a leprechaun come to the class over night and leave all kinds of trinkets..he was so cute when he came home and asked how small he was LOL!

  14. OK, that's cute. Don't be mad at her kindergarten teacher!

I would gladly build a trap today if required, but I was never happier then when our science fair days were over!

  21. She's a doll, Martina! Love her Leprechaun trap and the perfect little saying to go with it! I know what you mean about all of the school projects ~ sometimes it's more like homework for the parents rather than the kids!
