A Chair Makeover

 This is the chair that I use by our desk in our sitting room or should I say little Miss Victoria's playroom! I found this chair years ago in the Christmas Tree Shop. When I bought the chair the color was very similar to the desk and few months ago I decided to paint and distress it black. Sorry I don't have a before pic. Last week I noticed the cushion was getting worn so I found this pretty B/W check fabric in Hobby Lobby to recover it in.

                            It also needed a little reinforcing

    It is amazing what changing the fabric did for that chair, Martina! That chair was meant to wear black and white check! Love it!

    Martina, the new fabric looks great. I may need to get some of that to recover my barstools. I am not in love with the fabric I used.

    Looks great, Martina! I love the distressing on the chair, I think I am going to distress my table I love the look and if it gets scratched it just adds more character! :) Love your new checked fabric!

    Your redone chair looks magnificent! I love black painted furniture. I am always afraid that as soon as I paint something it will be terribly dated, but black painted furniture has been around for a long time now, hasn't it. The buffalo checks look so perfect with it, too.

    I love this chair so much! The distressing looks great, and I adore the checked print cushion. I've been looking for a pretty old chair to redo for my bedroom, and I think you've made up my mind- gotta go with a checked cushion! LOVE IT!!
