Hi there friends...
Remember waaaaaaaay back in September when I asked for your opinions on painting my oldest daughter Mackenzie's bed...well it took me a few months but I finally got around to doing it!
~~~
I decided on painting it AS Pure White to match her dresser.
Remember the before...
It looks so much better now that it is FINALLY painted!
~~~
~~~
She added a wall of inspirational quotes over her bed...she picked up these little canvas' over the summer and hung them with clear push tacks.
Here's a close up of a few of the sayings...
Lights on...
The pale grey coverlet and the new black and white pillow I picked up in Home Goods...they go perfect with the colors in her duvet and shams.
When we redid her room two years ago her bed not being painted always made her room seem off to me...not anymore!
~~~
Now if I can only get her to keep her room this neat...teenagers!!!

ReplyDeleteWow! What a difference the "new" bed makes! I think it looks great. Now you need to do a post on her Beatrix Potter nursery! :) Thanks for visiting and commenting on my Peter Rabbit bday party and for following me back.
ReplyDeletePerfect! You can't go wrong with white and it looks so nice with all the other colors in the room. Love the quotes.

That looks really GREAT, Martina! It really finished the room up to have the bed painted. I love that your daughter was part of picking things out for her wall. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThat turned out great! The bedding looks perfect and I like the quotes!
ReplyDeleteOh Martina it turned out great. What a difference paint and some distress makes!! The wall with quotes is awesome.
ReplyDeleteReally a wonderful teenagers room.
Hugs, CM
Martina I think you made the right choice!I love the headboard painted white and then distreessed. And your daughter's wall of quotes is a wonderful idea. Her room is so cheerful, just as a teens room should be. And I hear ya on the keeping the room neat part. Teens and tidy rooms rooms don't really go together very well do they?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
XO Barbara
The bed is beautiful Martina!....great job and love the wall of quotes...You and your daughter must be thrilled on how the room turned out as it is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more that her bed looks a lot better painted white now. I love it. it flows with the other furniture now. Her room is so charming. I love the quotes hanging above the bed.
ReplyDeleteMartina, gorgeous and I think the pillows show better with the bed painted. I also think the quotes are good. Special daughter with great style like her mom
