In my last post of 2014 I showed you all the projects that we accomplished during the year now I put a post together showing you all my favorite flea market and antique store finds of last year.
Starting with a favorite...this cane chair that now has a home in our living room.
I think 2014 was the year of demijohns for me because I lucked out and found quite a few!
This next one is my favorite!!
Along with the demijohn I found this pretty oil painting...love it!
Another favorite flea market find is the chippy green shutters that I put in our living room.
I lucked out and found two pretty antique lamps...
I'm hoping to find a few more.
I'm hoping to find a few more.
I started my cane collection in the beginning of the year and it grew nicely!
A more recent find was the matching ginger jar to the one I already had...now I have them flanking our mantel.
I love this pretty tole tray that I found at a local indoor flea market.
It's old and a tad scuffed up but that makes me love it all the more!

The ladder in our master bath made from antique barn wood is still a favorite.
I added to my collection of red transferware...
now I feel like this wall is complete.
Last but not least...
...this flat hanging basket was my favorite find at the Country Living Fair this past June...can't wait for this years fair!
I'm off antiquing today...hope I found a few goodies!

Those are all great pieces. I have been searching for an affordable barn wood ladder. I may just have to diy one. The cane collection and gorgeous cane chair are awesome too. Wishing you all the best in 2015.

Hi Martina,
ReplyDeleteSo many great finds wishing you lots more creative ventures and lots of great finds for the new year. Happy New Year. Looking forward to seeing your wonderful posts in the new year.
Kris
I have yet to score a demijohn for a good price! You had some great finds this year. Love that cane back chair too. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteYou are an expert scavenger, Martina! I never knew so many of your pieces were thrifted. The demi Johns are so cool...I've come across a few that were in really sad shape. Nice collection and the canes and transferware are very nice, too. I'm actually working on cleaning out some of my older "stuff" I have stored downstairs. I think our styles change a bit and there is no use keeping some things around...make room for the new clutter! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to read your last post. I love how you divided things up.
Take care!

I loved this tour of your home and getting to see your collections and wonderful finds. We spent last year making our (new to us) little 1905 bungalow livable; now this year I hope that I can take some time to get out and find some unique things to personalize the vintage style. I am so happy that I found your blog. I'm your newest follower and I would love to invite you over to visit and to help me celebrate my three years of blogging give-a-way :)
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling,
Connie :)
Wonderful finds, Martina! Makes me want to go estate sale shopping and thrift store shopping right now!! Catherine
ReplyDeleteYou have a knack for picking out good stuff! I remember these posts and always like how you choose to display things. The transferware looks quite grand scaped around the mirror! Cheers to a good year!
ReplyDeleteYou found some amazing treasures in 2014...love them all! Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY Martina, so nice having you!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
