Hi there friends...
I hope you all had a great weekend!
During Christmas I had that "ping" go off in my brain again!!
It told me to have a mirror added to this frame.
This is the frame I use at Christmas to hang a wreath in.
I love the detail work on this frame and thought it's too pretty to be stored away for another 11 months.
So after Christmas I took it to a local glass place and had them add a mirror to it.
I also took down the scones that you see hanging in the photo below...I've had them hanging here since we moved in 12 years ago.
I'm planning on having electric ones installed in the near future.
How it looked at Christmas...
I added the eucalyptus back to my ginger jars...found the old oil painting while out antiquing...added one of my round wicker chargers...and in front of that a pretty brass blue and white candleholder I picked up at a flea market.
Love the patina on this frame.
Thanks so much for stopping by...
Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteLove the mirror Martina! It's great to change things around a little isn't it? I am wanting to switch out a cabinet I have in the entry with one I have in the bedroom. The entry one has been there for 5 years Not so sure hubby is going to want to tackle this. After all, we're not getting any younger. lol!

That does look good with the mirror and I like the new picture! I like the wicker charger and the cute candle holder. I haven't had eucalyptus in my home for a long time- I always liked the smell.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And yes, that frame would have been too pretty to have sit for another 11 months. Great idea to add the mirror to it!
ReplyDeleteHi Martina, looks so pretty and yes too pretty to put away for the next 11 months. Great little painting too.

Great idea! Maybe I'll have to look at some of my frames and add a mirror.

Hi Martina,
ReplyDeleteYou've hit a nerve here...I always find decorating my mantle one of the most challenging things to attempt as the seasons change. Love how yours looks and how you layered the items. Great job and great post! First time visitor and newest follower,
