Stop sipping and start clicking!

Good morning friends...
I know I haven't been around much lately but I've been busy busy with family life all good stuff that I wouldn't want to miss for the world...so blogging is taking a back seat for now...I know you all get that!
I also have some projects that I've been working on in our master bedroom.
~~~
This morning while I was in the kitchen drinking my MUCH NEEDED morning coffee...I looked through the rooms and the sun was shining in my living room so beautifully I ran for my camera and stopped sipping and started clicking away!
I snipped a few of the plumes from my cornstalks outside for this pretty little vase on my table.
Our trees are losing most of there leaves but they still look so colorful in these shots!
See the little peek of the new cushion my friend Linda made for me.
I sent her the cushion that came with the chair along with the fabric I bought from Country Curtains...and she worked her magic!
She does such beautiful work!
She made a few more things for me I just have to get around to taking the pictures.
*Linda if your reading this I think I might be in touch with you for some matching pillows;-) *
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you all have a
 SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN!!
The mirror's new spot...
Hi there friends...
Last I showed you the furniture shuffle that went on in our master bedroom which also involved taking down the mirror over my dresser. Today I'm showing you where that mirror landed!
I can't take credit for it's new spot...it was my mom who suggested I hang it here...thanks mom:-)
Here's the Before with the canvas I had hanging there...
Soooooo much better...
the mirror fills in the wall space much better!
I love how the finish on the frame goes with the shades that I made.
A pretty shot with the lights on.
Thanks for the great suggestion mom!!
Doing the furniture shuffle
 Hi there friends...
I've been doing the furniture shuffle in our master bedroom and after seeing the new arrangement I don't know why I didn't think to do it sooner...
(insert hubby rolling eyes)! Oh ye of little faith...he loves the new arrangement too!
Ignore the empty space above the chair...on the hunt for new artwork.
 I moved the hubbies highboy to the wall that had my dresser on it and moved my dresser to the wall that had the highboy...am I confusing you yet?!?
We like having a TV in our room...I actually like to go to sleep with it on I just set the timer.
It used to be on a stool next to the highboy...now with it on the dresser it makes for better viewing.
 I took the three ironstone plates that were over my bed and hung them over the TV...can you tell the domino effect is happening here lol!
Here's a photo of the old arrangement you can even see the highboy in the mirror. Oh yes and I have plans to reuse the mirror somewhere else;-)
 Now it looks like this...
 I LOVE the new arrangement!
More changes going on in here and it involves paint...so stay tuned!
Chest makeover in Antibes Green
Hi there friends...
This past weekend I worked on a piece for Victoria's room.
~~~
Do you recongize it?

Here's the before...
I almost forgot to take a picture... as you can see the pulls are already off  I couldn't wait to get started!!
These were the matching nightstands to our Thomasville bedroom set...I was going to sell them on CL.
My cousin came over for a visit and told me how she just redid her girls room and the only thing she needed was a nightstand so I offered her one of these and redid it in pure white for her to go with their new beds.
 I wasn't going to sell just one so I redid this one for Victoria's room...it was the perfect piece to put her TV on.
My go to place for knobs is Hobby Lobby but these drawes are thick and their knobs wouldn't work...the screws weren't long enough.
I lucked out and found these crystal knobs in Home Depot and they came with long enough screws to go through the holes YAY!!
I love the way they look!
I didn't want this piece heavly distressed so I just sanded around the edges.
 I love the pop of color it added in here.

One more before and after...
Thanks so much for stopping by...have a super week!

~Updated Lighting~

 Hi there friends...
Since the renovations on the first floor have been finished and everything was put back together the one thing that kept bugging me was the lighting over the table in our breakfast area.
~~~
When I got the new Ballard catalog and saw all the lighting was 15% off I bit the bullet and ordered this lantern I had my eye on!
 Before...
Love the After!
It comes in three different colors...I choose the brick red.
 It seems every time we make an update in this house it's never a quick fix!!
 The new lantern is quite heavy so we had to replace the original plastic electrical box with this metal one.
Soooooooo...
while we were at it I was finally able to get the light centered over the table.
Not having it centered before drove me nuts!!
Instead of patching up the hole and having to repaint the entire ceiling I chose to use a ceiling medallion...which of course got a paint treatment of it's own!
 I love the way the medallion turned out.
I used AS Versailles and Chateau Grey along with both clear and dark wax to give it an old layered look.
Now I have something else in mind for the the kitchen...the wheels are always spinning lol!!
Have a super week!
