Hi there friends...
On Monday my hubby had to go to his back doctor for a follow up and I went along. His doctor is in Connecticut and on the way we pass a great antique store!
~~~
Didn't come home empty handed:-)
I found this pretty chair for $25...I'm going to use it near the desk in our study.
After I give it a good cleaning I'm going to give it a fresh coat of black paint
The rush seat is in great condition.
Next I found these antique insulators...they had a ton of them...they were $2 each. Next time I visit I'm going to pick up a few more.
~~~
I've been on the hunt for a small cabinet for our master bath...it must have been my lucky day because I finally found one.
She's definitely an old piece which I love...she just needs a little TLC!
They were asking $75 for it but I got it for $50.
I worked on this piece yesterday...I'll be back soon to show you the makeover!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh my ~ what wonderful treasures. I can't wait to see what you have done with your little cabinet.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really cool chair! Is it a Windsor? Some people paint furniture to get that chippy look. I get really nervous when it comes to painting antique furniture, you're very brave. Nice finds, hope all is well with your husband!

ReplyDeleteOMG, is that a Hitchcock chair that someone has already painted over? If it has already been painted, I guess you might as well give it another coat since the value is gone, but if the finish is just worn, please be careful not to paint it and just leave it in its original loveliness.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finds all the way around!
BTW, I may not comment here regularly, but I have been a stalker for a long time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your style and taste. One of my favorites in blogville, in fact.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, Martina.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finds, can I ask where in CT you found these? We live in SE MA and go for drives in CT quite often. I would love to find some new shops!
