Hi Friends...Happy Halloween!
My son's room is done and he couldn't be more happier with the results...which makes me very happy!
The new color is Classic Silver by Behr, we used the paint that is paint and primer in one...it covered beautifully. I bought the letters in Hobby Lobby and spray painted them in navy, they simply lean against the wall on the little ledge we added to the top of the bead board.
LOVE the way the accent wall turned out!
I repainted his tall dresser in AS Emperor's Silk...this color is definitely a true red.
The hubby wants to know if it will be painted for a fifth time...I just rolled my eyes and said you never know;)
New bedding I ordered from Target online.
Here's a before shot...when I tried making this pic larger it became very grainy sorry:(
And here's the after...definitely looks like a pre-teen room now don't you think!
Going to replace the area rug when I find the perfect one.
I even used the navy spray paint on his window cornice...I like the way it makes it pop.
Repainted his shelf in AS Emperor's Silk also. I had the little table you see on the side of his dresser in my storage room. Gave it a coat of gray paint and it works perfectly to hold his X-Box (that he's only allowed to use on the weekends during the school year)! The dresser in here is my childhood dresser.
Will picked out his new lamp...I like the industrial look it has to it.
We found the baseball canvas of his favorite team in Target. Next to it in the baseball frame is a picture of him when he was 3 at Shea Stadium(now known as CitiField) I told him that's something that has to stay...it's one of my favorite pics!
I couldn't pass up this metal sign I found in Hobby Lobby...it's my son to a tee! I hung it above his closet doors.
Another project complete! Next week I'll start on the powder room...it's never ending!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi Friends, hope you all had a great weekend! We had a fun one...I had family visiting from Canada and staying with us for a few nights, they left yesterday morning to go back home.
A few weeks ago I made a stop in Pier1 for some pumpkin scented pillar candles...not only did I find the candles I came across this pretty wicker stand and knew it would work perfect in my kitchen as a caddy to hold my everyday dishes and dish towels.
See how well my african violets are doing on the window sill near my sink...didn't think they would last this long;)
I won two of these pretty pineapple hooks at bunco the other night...still have to find a spot for the other one.
I love the warmth wicker adds to a room...it's the little things like this that puts a smile on my face every time I look in this corner!
Here's a little peek of the piece I just repainted for the FOURTH time in my son's room...I should have the full reveal in a few days. Love the way his room turned out:)

She's still here...Bj that is! She just experienced a major glitch and had to start all over again after losing all her loyal followers and all the people she followed!:(
So please head on over to Sweet Nothings and say Hi and re-follow this sweet lady again!
Thanks so much Friends!
Hi Friends...Happy Monday!
Last week my mom asked me if I could do her a favor and drop something off at a friends house for her since I was going to be in the area. Joann and my mom have been BF's since they were in their twenties...50 years of friendship! JoJo (that's what we call her) is family to us! When I walked into her house there were two bins near her front door...she said these are for you.
Was I surprised when I opened the bins and saw these beauties wrapped inside...I think I squeezed the life out of her LOL!!
They're made by Wedgewood & Co. England they even have a trade mark # on them. She received this 8 piece setting for her bridal shower 53 years ago.
I couldn't wait to get them home and play house...I knew they were going to be displayed in my dining room hutch.
The set also came with two different size serving platters and two bowls.
The pretty boxwood topiary I added I won a few months back from my friend Ron's giveaway The Uptown Acorn
These are the bowls.
She said she knew I would love these(boy was she right!)...she remembered seeing the red transferware plates I have hanging around my dining room mirror.
I changed the display on top of my hutch too. I added my ginger jar filled with some of my hydrangea clippings along with my grandmothers bread basket.
I absolutely love the way these pieces look in my hutch!
Thank you JoJo I will cherish them forever xoxo!!

In the beginning of the year you may remember we worked on a room makeover for our oldest daughter Mackenzie here ...well after her room was done what do you think happened!?! Our middle son asked when are you going to redo my room!?! I promised him when they went back to school after the summer break we would get started.
Here is a little peek at the progress made so far...
Stay tuned for the reveal...Have a super weekend!
Hi Friends!
A few weeks ago the hubs asked me what I would like for my birthday...my response was a quick one... a new chandelier for the dining room! He just rolled his eyes...hey he asked;) So I began the hunt and when I found this beauty it was love at first site!
The website I found it on was Lighting Universe.
I had this medallion up with the previous chandelier too but it was plain old white...so I gave it a makeover to look old and worn. It goes so well with the new fixture now.
Many of you guessed a ceiling medallion when I gave you a little peek last week.
Here's the before fixture... after I dressed it up with crystals and beeswax candle sleeves. It's nice but I LOVE the after so much better!
Some of the pretty details.
The hubby is even loving the new look! I catch him walking by for a peek all the time:)
I loved it so much the matching sconce was added to my order too:) That's hanging in our living room... you'll have to wait to see that one;)
I was considering painting my dining room chairs & hutch, but adding this lighter chandelier really brightens up the space so I think I'll leave them for now;)
I really need to teach Neena to put her toys back in her basket LOL!
Now I just need to get the finishing touches done on my living room so I can show you guys the changes that were made! Have a great week!!
