I can finally say I'm done!!
With the furniture makeovers in Mackenzie's room that is, we still have to paint the walls, I'm hoping we can get started this weekend. Her ceiling needs to be painted also so I'll be needing the hubs help with that... because I don't do ceilings!
My MIL bought this chest for me when we first got married. It was whitewashed with stenciled flowers on it. A few years ago I repainted it white added some glaze and a new stencil to it.
Here's how it used to look...
And here's how it looks now... I figured with her walls being white her room was going to need a fun pop of color, so I used AS chalk paint in Antibes along with both the clear and dark wax.
Can you believe I gave this piece 2 coats and I only used a sample pot...this paint goes a long way!
I added a new stencil to the top, and sanded it down to make it look worn before I waxed it.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteWow! That paint does go a long way. Isn't it nice to take something and completely give it a new look? Paint is magical. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful green. Love a pop of color. Ceilings are tough...I don't blame you for waiting for some help. The last time I painted a ceiling by myself it took several showers to get all of the paint out of my hair!
ReplyDeleteLove that pop of color...a fun shade of green! Looks so pretty!
